Make money from your talent?

Right now my passion is drawing. I'm getting better all the time, and I do have commission information up on my deviantArt. I've seen many MANY people on there make money through sales of art books, prints, and commissons. A few of my favorite artists get $20 for a sketch and up to $100 per finished work - and they ALWAYS have people commissioning them. That would be so great - doing something you love so much to get good money. Maybe someday I'll get good enough to be like that. (:

I think everyone has talents that they can use to help them make enough to live on if they put their mind to it. Many peopel are creative, others have a knack with machinery or computers, others have a way with words. Its just a case of trying things to see what skills you have that others might like to buy. People complement each other, I'm very creative but I'm not well organised, maybe one day I might be able to afford t pay someone to help me organise my paperwork. Their skills would complement mine and both would benefit in the long term.

yes you can make money out of your talent. lots of people are getting paid because of their own talents.

I would want to make money from my talents but I really do not know how to go about it. I am into music for nearly a decade or so and I was very much interested in promoting music. I play the piano and the electronic keyboard but how to make money from it is a factor that keeps eluding me. Making money from your talents is indeed a very rich experience as it would be something you are naturally good at and sometimes something that would make you very happy so no matter how long you work at it in the long run the satisfaction is what pays off

I have made money from my talents. I am an artist and I sell my art on Ebay and at my web site. I also get commission work from people. Those who have uncommon talent usually end up making money. I mean you mention fashion accessories. I think I know about 50 people personally who do earn from trading in fashion accessories!! Other people with talents such as enhancing clothes with embroidery also earn well!!

making money from one's talent can be a rather difficult task because im sure that the talent is not only possessed by you, ie. many people out there has the same talent as you have. it can turn to be a very competitive challenge and i really appreciate those who have managed to earn from their talents.

Well I think it’s the best way to make money if you make it from your talent or hobby! Firstly you don’t get tired of working as you enjoy your work. You mite prove more efficient as you put in your best to do it, also you remain fresh for a longer time and do not get bored and need less number of breaks. During the period when all the dance bars in Mumbai got shut, many NGOs stepped in to encourage the dancers to take up their talent or hobby as their occupation so that they do not starve. They also helped them to improve on their skills to make jewelery or hand paintings or stitch cushions and so on. Many youngsters also do that, not only to earn money but also to kill their spare time in a more creative way. I used to make picture frames and candles during my vacations n used to sell them at college annual functions!

I have made a little money with my talent. I have made a couple of quilts that I have made for a little profit and I have two more order to make quilts. I don't make a whole lot, but it's something I enjoy doing and I do make a little extra.

I use my talent to make money. I have my own website (www.sweetdesigninc.com) that showcases my pieces and I do sell them there. I enjoy doing what I do and expressing myself through my arts and crafts. I have had to make investments in supplies and tools and since my business is very new it is still in the red.
