Do you use Alcohol or Peroxide to clean wounds.

I had been using this for years to cleanse wounds but found out recently that it is not recommended for this as it destroys new cell growth and slow down or stops the healing process...but Doctors still use these products daily, you would think they would know, and not use them.

i found out a couple years ago the peroxide kills the new cell growthfrom my dr, so I use wound cleaner made by band aid brand. see the picture i provided.

I also use iodine diluted with water, this works very good..just gotta make sure that the iodine is diluted. Thanks for the tip and new product, I will be definately checking for this.

I usually use water to clean it out, then put some neosporin on it. Sometimes if it looks like it's getting a little red, I might put some peroxide on it.

I now use polysporin on a wound, especially if it starts to turn red, but if it gets hot to the touch, it is best to visit a doctor and have it looked at, as usually the redness is a sign of infection, but now I never use peroxide after I found out what it does to the healing process.

i nver use it i just let it bleed and keep doing what i'm doing
