Yeah, it's not math, it's really logic. The online game uses colors and shapes if you like that better than numbers.

NO I don't and thank goodness. Because it would take too much time away from MYLOT and my posting and responding and rating and picking best responses....and getting referrals, and filling out profile info.. LOL.
Suduko requires too much patience and I never was blessed with any of that.

I really enjoy it. I started playing it when I was a teenager - MANY years ago. I know it's just recently gotten popular, but it is a lot of fun.

Thank you for sharing the link. I love Sudoku but it comes second to Logic puzzles in my opinion.

I love Sudoku, and it was actually my mum who taught me how to do them! I always do crosswords in puzzler books and especially in the daily paper, but I used to avoid the Sudoku puzzles because I couldn't work out how to do them. My mum loves them and one Sunday when I went over visiting, I gave her a book on Suduko puzzles and then she sat me down and taught me how to do them, I am now hooked. I find it easier to do suduko puzzles on paper not on the computer, but thank you for the link, I will still check it out.

Mostly, it's based on the numbers 1-9. The grid has 9 squares across and 9 squares down that you will fill in with a number, but no number can be repeated in any line across or down. There is also 9 boxes outlined within the main grid. Within each of those boxes, there are 9 squares, one each for number. So, no number can be repeated in any line across or down, or any of the 9 squares that are outlined.
I usually try to find the "easy" numbers first. I start with the first corner box of 9 squares. I start with the number 1. If there is no number 1 in that "box" I look and see if there is a number 1 in the lines and rows that go into that box. Any line or row that goes into that box that has a 1 will mean there is no 1 in the 3 boxes that contain that line. You basically rule out where the number WONT go to narrow down where it WILL go. There are always going to be "easy" numbers to find by ruling out where they wont go. If I don't see where the number goes I move on to the next number until I have gone through all 9 numbers. Then I move onto the next square. You will get some numbers in that way and then I do the same thing, but I look in the lines across or down. T
hat probably confused you more - my husband doesn't get it, but everyone's mind works differently.
Good Luck!

Thank you for sharing this website! My husband loves sudoku!!!! I will have to bookmark this site for him. Maybe even print them out if he isn't able to do them online everyday. He does them at work when there is nothing else to do.

are you serious! i love sudoku! i try to play at least one puzzle everyday. my brother and my boyfriend introduce the game to me. they say it's good for the brain so i tried it. some sites also said that it stimulates your ability in mathematics, which i doubt because it's more of a logic game. i have a sudoku game in my phone but i am running out of puzzles.

My 12 year old daughter taught me how to do Sudoku. I love it. We then taught my mother how to do it. My daughter tells everyone that she taught her mother something. I enjoy them even more than crossword puzzles. I like puzzles that keep your brain active.

I have probably been doing these puzzles since I was 12... I've always loved Dell puzzle books and bought them all the time as a teenager. They had the best variety and I remember doing the sudoku puzzles in them way back then!!!
That's cool that your daughter helped you get started with them. Have you checked the webpage I listed? That's a lot of fun...

Even though it involves some brain power, I think it's still very relaxing. I can imagine you need something like that after dealing with the little ones!

I love sudoku.
My wife crazy about this and love to do it. she's the reason why i do it sometimes because she could solve a series of hard ones. I couldn't but we worked together and solved it.
After that i'm addicted like her but i don't really do it often although when i do i fill the book quickly.
Kudos!
