What do you do when your "in-laws" hate you? Do you still try to get along or do you just give up?

I don't let it affect me. I tolerate them because they are family but if they start to get on my nerves I just ignore them.
My mother-in-law hates me and thinks I am not femine enough for her son but he is the one that matters to me not her.
I have kicked her out of my house before. I see her on my terms which means I never go to her house. On my terms means I can control the situation if it get too annoying.

My "in-laws" (all of them) are selfish. My sister and I are married to brothers and they think that all of our time (such as holidays, etc) should be spent with them and not our family. And because we don't our children (their grandchildren) suffer because they don't even bother to visit with them.
