I'm British, and I am extremely curious as to how the rest of the world views Britain. As MyLot has people from around the world, I thought you'd all be well placed to offer feed-back.
Please be honest - you can say negative things if you want to. Just give a reason for why you hold your opinion.

I'm British too buit as a child I went to an American school. I was bullied really badly for being British, and I've never really understood why. The Americans there were so very cruel just because I was different, I'd love to hear why they hate us so much.

I've found Americans difficult to get on with in person too. They tend to be offhand. Someone said to me that they only tend to be nice when they are selling something or expecting a tip!
By contrast, I've found the French to be lovely in person. I've never come across a Frenchperson who I haven't got on with in person.
Yet the stereotypes in the media are the opposite - they portray the Americans as friendly and the French as aloof.

When I think of Britain I think of rain / bad wather :-D I don't mind the people I've been to London for a short stop on my way to Scotland and people were actually really nice there, nothing like what I had imagined.

Sorry, I pressed submit too soon. I mean, what had you imagined the Brits to be like, and how exactly did they differ from your expectations?

Since I live in Orlando Florida, I have run across my fair share of tourists. I love the accent! They seem very laid back (could be because they are on vacation. But they are by far the nicest tourists. I have ran across not so pleasant tourists from a lot of places. I will leave it at that.

They probably are laid back because they are on holiday! Brits on holiday tend to be fun, but Brits at home tend to be grumpy.
