Is it wrong to charge people money...

...to read the comprehensive list of ebay powerseller tips for maximum profit I have compiled? I know people do it all the time, charge $49.95 for this kind of stuff, but I just don't feel comfortable with that. Is $1 too much to ask for this list? Should it be given away for free? Or what price should I put on it? Where do I market it anyway? What would you do?

I don't think it's wrong at all. I think $50 is too much & I wouldn't pay that much, but then again I don't sell much on Ebay :)

Honestly, $50 is way too much when people like you are willing to do it for $1. Considr how much effort you put into compiling that list and then come up with a fair price. If you try to sell it for too much money you many sell 1 or none at all. You;ll make more moeny offering it at a cheaper price. You'll have a greater chance of selling more and therefore, you'll make more.

It's a capitalist's world out there, you should sell the guide for as much as people are willing to pay. if one person is willing to pay $50 but 25 people are willing to pay $25 you are better off selling it for $25 you just got to find out the balance that will maximize the profits. if you would like to be charitable and give it away free by all means but the time you put into it you should be compensated for it in my opinion.

If it was me, I'd offer it to people as an incentive to get them to look at your store/auctions. Sell it cheap or offer it for free. I agree with your sentiments on not wanting to charge a huge price for it. I am working on blog that allows ebay sellers to list their items and links to their ebay stores. It will also highlight certain hand picked auctions by mean another contributors, list buyer and seller tips, etc. If you would be willing to take a look at it and let me know what you think, I'd appreciate it. (It still has a bit to go on the coding so it isn't really up yet, plus I don't want to shamelessly plug it here on your discussion. I was more thinking I could send you a message in a week or so when it is closer to going live.)

Since you've already compiled the list, I'd make it affordable like $5-10. I think you'd sell more that way.

I don't like it when they do that. I believe if it's useful information, you shouldn't have to pay for it. I did that ebay thing too. I paid a dollar for the information that I aready new and on top of it, they wanted me to pay more money every month. I said forget it. That dollar was enough to give for something that I already am aware of.

information - how information is become expensive in this IT era
I think you are charged for the information they got. And you must do li'l effort to get those same info too. It's normal I think. No pain no gain, isn't it? Don't wanna pay, so search those info by yourself, I believe we can if we take it seriously

I'm a little confuse, but thanks fo responding, I think :S If you wanted to spend hours searching, and pay for some of the info then yes, it is attainable by one's self. I m talking about offering a step by step, how to sell, and maximise profits guide. Nothing fancy, all in simple, straightforward english, no costs for anything more, just information... Should I charge people money to read this information I have compiled?

I sell a list of drop ship resources and power seller resources for $2. I do not think it is much to ask $1 or even $5, if it is definitely worth the money.

go for 50 or just be contented with that price. because that kind of price will attract costumers.even if it is a little amount.
