I just want to share experiences. I've been a reader since 1981, though I started studying it high school in the 1970's. Lately I've been using mediumship more than tarot reading, but I always have my cards with me just in case. Just for the record, people of many religions get readings from me, so please don't turn this into a religious discussion when it doesn't need to be one.

that's really great!..I do something similar, I read Animal Medicine Cards. I started that as I am Native American in heritage. I also read Runes. I made my own set a long time ago. I tried Medicine Woman cards, but was just never in tune with them. Maybe one day we can get together on here. that would be nice.

Are they the Ted Andrews Animal Medicine cards? I love those. I also have a celtic animal deck. It's interesting to see the different interpretations of animal meanings. I forgot to mention runes. I'll have to upload a photo of the runes I made when I'm on the other computer. I really need to practice more with the runes. I keep forgetting the meanings.

I read tarot cards. I don't do it often. I find I have a hard time remembering the meanings. I also own runes but again have a hard time remembering the meanings. I like to do water scrying.

My daughter was dabbling in tarot reading about 9 years ago. I had her do a reading for me and it has been quite accurate.

I've been interested in tarot for over 10 years and committed to seriously studying them about 2 years ago. It's been a fascinating journey so far and i'm looking forward to learning so much more about them. I think the biggest jump I had to make was moving away from reading them by using their keywords or book interpretations and learning to connect with them intuitively, I felt as though my safety net had been pulled from under me, but it did help me to learn so much more about the cards on a personal level. I'd be interested to hear how you began studying them if you're willing to share?

*waves* I read tarot cards as well.
More for myself than other people, but I've tried it twice for fun with friends and friends of the family. Most of whom are pretty open minded. I helped a little to keep the atmosphere light and fun and no one really dwelled on the readings whether they had good componets or bad. I tend to carry my cards with me, just in case I should need them for advice in an emmergency where my mind's drawing blanks.

I started reading last year with a Spanish tarot deck. I want to buy a Raider-Waite but it is a little expensive.
