This may seem like a stupid topic to you but I want to share it anyway. First I need to explain about my boyfriend. Even though we are not married, he claims my son and grandson's as his own. Well tomorrow my youngest grandson(6 months old) will be going to a special hearing loss center to be retested and fitted for hearing aids. You see he was born with a very rare condition and only had a 20% chance of surviving. He made it but became deaf because of it or the treatment they used to save his life. So my boyfriend says to me tonight that he told everyone today at work that the only thing he wanted for Christmas was for his grandson to be able to hear. I cried. We hadn't really talked about it so I didn't think he really thought about it that much. I just wanted to share that with everyone. I think my boyfriend is pretty special.

Your boyfriend is very sweet to want your grandson to hear and I hope and pray that your grandson can hear with the hearing aids. Not too many men out there like that these days. Let us know how it goes.

That is really nice to hear that your boyfriend feels that way about your grandson and wishing that he could hear. That is very special of your boyfriend to feel that way. You do not hear that too often now a days but that is great and wish that there is something that can be done about his hearing. Looks like you have a great boyfriend.

You've got yourself a "KEEPER" hold on tight and don't let go. That is one of the sweetest thing I've heard. Thank you for sharing this story with us. By the way, if this is your grandchild he is soo cute.

I want to thank everyone for your comments. I have read each and every one. There is no way I'll be able to answer all of you. I have an update about the baby. There was a screw up with the scheduling so there will be no hearing aids before Christmas. They rescheduled his appointment for January 4th. And yes, I know, I have a wonderful man. Thank you.

I posted an update but it is a few pages back. The person who scheduled the appointments set him up for the wrong doctor. he has to go back to the pediatric audiologist on January 4th.

herez wishing good luck for the little baby....
and do not fear, god alwayz has something good in store for us, if he has lost something, it means that god has given him something bigger and greater. And what is more onteresting is that people who face difficulties are always rewarded, and our dear lad here has faced a real big one. i m sure he will be a very good companion for you, and also a very big assistance to you. Just wait and see...
