Microsoft Office Specialist Cert? Useful in Career?

I am planning to go register and hopefully to pass the exam can get the microsoft office specialist cert.. But i was wondering whether is it really useful in my career? to add it into my resume and portfolio.
Any advise? =D

Well, it depends on what you do, if it's on the same route as your career then I don't see why not.

yeah.. it may not be useful in near future, but down my career path, an additional cert is better then nothing! =D

I worked for a company that did computer training and ran the tests for the MOS exams. Many people would take them to place the cert on their resume, but it didn't increase their pay scale. I would say almost everyone who came through the door to take the MOS exam more did it for themselves than to get a better job. The people were mainly office workers (admin assistant, secretary, etc) that used the software on a regular basis.

thanks for response, no matter its admin assistant or secretary, i believe its still a plus having MOS
