How do you wash your car by automatic car wash or by hand.?

when the weather is decent i prefer to do it by hand...i have yet to find a car wash that gets it as clean as i can and can reach into all the spaces around the wheels, etc...also the price of going through a car wash to me is just wasted money. In winter i'll put it through one occasionally just to get the road grime, etc. off. I usually just use a good liquid car wash from the store to put in my washing bucket and use a soft sponge. But when I'm out of that i will use Ajax dishwashing liquid...it usually works just about as well.

You are right, the prices of carwashes are going up! I think it's $5 for the regular car wash ..if you want all the whistles: wax included it's $6.50
If I had a hose in my yard I would do it by hand..but some reason this place has no hose:(+

i wash it by going for automatic car wash or those car wash that are handwash. i'm very lazy to wash my car...as i think it's not clean enough.

I really need to get my car to the carwash..now that I think of it..the birds really like me ..they are forever dropping off donations..that I don't particularly want!+

automatic car wash is too costly so i usually wash my car by my hand, i give my car for service once in a month

Yes and it saves your nice hands too...I think the little bit we offer is really like charity for those who run the car wash..they live off what they make there.:)+

I just used the automatic wash the other day.Sometimes I will wash by hand or sometimes i will pay someone to wash it for me

I don't like to get cold..I think that the water in the bucket would turn to ice before I got done washing the car in the winter time..

In the summer I wash my car by hand, I usually wash my car once a week,I just like to have a clean car. In the winter its to cold outside to wash it and I'll freeze my hands,so I take it to a car wash.

Well ..good for you..I tend to like to do it myself in the car wash garage for about 75cents..I don't have a hose hooked up to my apartment..but in the winter it's the carwash;)

once in alternate months i will go for automatic carwash.in the alternate months i will wash it by myself.For hand wash i will be using the liquid that is available in the departmental stores.i am having all the accessories like hoze(as there is not available in apartment),brushes.Then too my hand wash wouldn't match with the one done by professionals.

Most of the time I take it to a carwash. thank you for giving me those tips. they really worked. I like a clean when I get dress out an go out some where, I'm looking good so I want my car to look good as well. LOL.

Great...In the winter it seems it's the hardest to keep the car clean..We have salt put on roads when it snows..then cars driving by and splashing..Yuck:)+

Allways by hand. But I rather let my boyfriend to have this pleasure. :D
Anyway a few years ago he had a carwash company, so he knows, that by hand is better. He really knows the matter.
