Has anyone here written a book?

currently writing a book. plan to take it to a publishing agency when it is done. if they wont publish it, then i will self publish it.

I've written three books. One is a novel called At The Lake. It's set in 1967 and is about a 19 year old girl who screws up her life before she gets it right. It's on lulu and amazon and a bunch of other sites for sale. It hasn't sold a lot because I didn't do much publicity for it. The reviews have been great though. The second is about building our house, non-fiction. The third is unconventional ways to break into screenwriting. I'm almost done with a book of short stories and poems which I'll also publish on lulu. They do great work there and I'm really happy with the quality of the printed product and the distribution package that they offer. I am still in the process, for about 3 years now. I actually finished the first draft and sent it to objective friends and got great critiques. I tried fixing it up and then got overwhelmed and now I want to change major details. I feel like i'm back to page 1. It gets very intimidating.

It is a lot of fun to create your own book, and you can do it very cheaply on Lulu.com. They provide all the tools you need. Pictures and text. I did a picture book Bearskin Neck News, funny photocollages of my friends and their ventures.

I am currently writing a novel, fiction/horror/mystery. I do professional book reviews for a living and have always wanted to pursue writing myself but who knows if I truly ever will. Good luck with yours!

I have written a ton of short stories that are only for myself or friends and family. I'm currently working on a huge project (nonfiction) that I'd prefer not to share until I have the idea copyrighted. I am hoping to have an agent who will help me publish it and make some money.
