I no longer consume either, but if I need a small amount for a recipe, I'll use sugar. I bought a box of Splenda once, and discovered that the filler material is maltitol (I'm pretty sure that's what it was - I'm going from memory) which is . . . sugar. I did some looking into it on line, and found out that only the liquid version is completely sugar free. I decided not to bother with it because, since I gave up sugar, I don't have cravings for sweets anymore. I'm also a little leary of how short a time it has been around.

Isn't it crazy - after a certain time without sweets, you don't even notice it?

I use regular sugar. I do want to try using splenda but they are so expensive.

I'd waaaay rather use sugar, which comes from a plant, than Splenda, which comes from a lab. We don't eat much sugar anyway.
