Weather is getting cooler

Texas weather is getting cooler from today onwards. By Christmas everything will be in a freezing way. How do you think that we can resist from this extreme cold weather. what are the measures to be taken here?? Am new to Texas..

Does texas really get all that cold? I'm not sure.. o_O I'm in Oregon and it's been getting into the 20's at night.. :( I'm hoping we get some snow where i'm at before Christmas.. that'd be cool. 8)

I am in southern texas and it is 53 degrees right now. Not very cold compared to those of you north of us, but quite chilly for us! We are supposed to have weather in the 40s tomorrow----it rarely gets below 30 degrees here, so this is cold! It was 80 degrees two days ago!

haha.. oh man.. i'd LOVE to have a 53 degree day again soon.. that's almost t-shirt weather. XD

I live here in the midwest and it's actually been a very mild December so far. Sure we've had a few cold days, but just a few days ago temps were right around 50 degrees, which is paradise for this time of year! We're also getting a bunch of rain today and tonight which tells you it's also pretty warm still. Pretty crazy weather so far.

oh really.. how is the weather now. what does the weather forecast says about the weather in midwest. what are the measures you take to defend the cold weather there?

I am Tx also and am enjoying the cold weather! I don't think measures really need to be taken, other than dressing appropriately. Any precipitation is going to be minimal and short lived. I'm sure that it will be in the 70s again in a week or so ;)
