Things that happen at my work.

My husband and I both worked at the same job. We have 3 small children, a 5 year old, 3 year and 2 year. He got off at 6pm and I had to work at 6pm. We decided to take them to work with us for 5 minutes until the shift change took place. This avoided money for gas, extra time, and lots and lots of money for daycare. Daycare is very expensive especially for 3 children under the age of 5. We got permission from supervisors and even security guards for the kids to come in and wait until my husband got off. This was only a 5 minutes ordeal. This went on for several months until one day when upper management seen what was going on and suspended both of us from work. They took our badges and sent us home. The call came the next day stated we were both fired from our jobs due to unprofessional conduct. What a blow! We both were working to support our family and then we both were fired for something we could not have avoided. So for all those parents out there who think its safe to bring your children to work to avoid a few hundred dollars a month to save on childcare, Watch Out! I still feel we made the right choice for our children even though it put us in a hard circumstance for awhile.

Seems totally unfair since you had asked permission first! Hope things are better again!
