Can you identify if a crab's male or female?

The underside of the crab has the gender differences. And they resemble 2 famous buildings in Washington, DC. Males have the Washington Monument on their belly Females have the Capitol Building on their belly

no, i don't identify its with its aligue, it's by the shape of its underside "apron". =) i like my crabs steamed.

my mom said you can recognize the gender of the crab from the triangle at the back. I dont know. I am not sure. i like crabs but only if someone will open them for me. ;)

I can identify them. Look at the navel shape - the male's like a bell and the female's like a mosque.

One can identify a male crab from a female by looking at the body of the crabs. A female crab is slightly rounded like a dome and a male is pointed. And yes, a female crab has roe whereas a male crab does not have any.

NOW i know every thing reproduces but i never thought of a difference between male and female crabs???? the have different taste?? wow thats amazing ill have to check it out bcuz i love some steamed crab dipped in buttter yummmmmyy

yup, i can..and i always pick the she-crab because of the aligue, does anyone else like the bakla?.. because i do. ;)
