Come to London!

It's a very beautiful place, but prices of commodities in London are really high compared to the Philippines (about 3 to 5 times). Even the bus fares are so expensive, how much more the taxis. However I love England's clean air and environment but commuting is not as easy as in my country. There are so many beautiful places to see and you can see really old historical houses and palaces.

Indeed! That's why my partner laughs when we go shopping because I always compute and compare prices against the Philippine currency and most of the time I end up not buying what I want.

since i will be moving with my boyfriend to sweden one day, we planned on going to london and spend a vacation there with his bestfriend who lives there. he says it's expensive there and that we need to walk a lot (not a problem to me since i love to walk). but the place is worth going to. so, i wanna go there and see it myself!

I've been to London several times, and quite frankly, I'm not overly impressed. The place is too busy and way too full of traffic. I agree there are a few nice buildings but they are outweighed by far less pleasant ones.
You'd do much better to go to York. It too is historic, has a river, is built within castle walls, has cobbled streets and alley ways, lots of interesting things to see and its own nightly Ghost Walk. Added to these, it is far less expensive and much cleaner air than London.

london is nice as you said but its expensive to live there and hard to cope up on every day living, here in kuwait most we dont usually ride a bus or taxi, most people have their own car or service car to use anytime we need to use transport. we have beautiful places here to even kuwait is small,its amazing here

well london was once listed as one of the most expensive places to live in plus the fact that british pound is realy huge when computed to our currency the Philippine peso, it will really make one think twice in buying things over there. how long you've been living in london, since i have read that your profile says you are in the Philippines. greetings. : )

Thanks for your comment. The past two years I've been spending half of the time in London and half in Manila (when it's winter time there) as my partner is British. So we leave for UK again by end of March.
