What are your three biggest fears?

Childbirth - I don't know how I'm going to get over this but the whole thing
freaks me out. Something growing inside me isn't the part that bothers me.
It's the actual labor, the epidural, and the part about being
cut....::shuddering::
Making mistakes - I hate to make the wrong decision. I hate to let any one
down or be a disappointment...
Being a bad person - I never want anyone to think I'm a bad person or that
I'm anything like my mom's mother. It's something that my brothers, and
cousins and I all fear. We always got told "your being just like your
grandma" when we were being bad growing up, and now we all have issues.

I used to fear childbirth too. I mean I was TERRIFIED! But, it's just one of those things you just have to go through. Once you go through it you realize that you can handle it (even if you do scream before you get the epidural...lol).
My 3 biggest fears are:
Losing my partner - my world would be devestated without her.
Something happening to my daughter - I sometimes worry obsessively if she doesn't call when she is supposed to.
Losing control of myself - like going insane or alzhiemers (sp?). Losing control of myself wouldnt be bad unless I had moments of lucidity in which I was aware that I had lost control. That would be terrifying!
BTW - believe me, you will welcome the epidural when it comes, so don't fear that one.

- - getting cancer...this for some reason is my biggest fear. I am not even sure where it stems from since only one or two people in my whole family have ever had it.
- - dying young. I hate the thought of not living a long life and being able to do all I want or seeing all I want.
- - not everyone knowing how much I love and care for them. So I tend to show them quite often and as often as I can how much I care and love them. cause you never know what mmight happen tomorrow.

Go to my website and get educated about the processes of labor and delivery:
Auntie Natal 911~Childbirth
http://www.auntienatal911.com/childbirth.htm
Then go to the link on Creating Your Ideal Birth Plan
http://www.auntienatal911.com/ideal_birth_plan.htm
And don't forget to read up on pregnancy changes going on inside your body
http://www.auntienatal911.com/pregnancy.htm
I teach classes on all of these topics and more! Who says you have to have an epidural or be cut? Not if you don't want to!

My three biggest fears.....hmm....
I would have to say the first would be something bad happening to my children. Having seven children just raises the odds of something happening.
The second would be me screwing up my children. LOL I am not the perfect mother. So, I know my children will have to endure my imperfections and with some of my own perfectionism. It is not always easy to deal with a person that tries to get so much right.
My third fear is loosing my intelligance/wit/sense of humor. I know I am no Einstein but I am grateful the the knowledge that I do have and my joy of learning. But as we get older, we tend to forget. My grandmother was witty to the end! LOL She told me that she would do cross words to help keep her mind sharp. If you don't use it, you loose it sort of thing. But I am not one to do cross words...I read more than anything else.
Hey...can I add a fourth? Loosing my sight! I would never want to loose my signt because I love art, reading, and watching my children. If I lost my sight, I would be in a world of hurt!!!

Good discussion!
Yeah, child birth is one of mine also.
Another fear, is being lonely. I think we all crave some sort of support and socialism. I often wonder what life would be like without friends or family.
My third fear - bugs. Yup, I hate all types of bugs. Spiders, ants, roaches etc...

Here are mine:
1. My husband dying in Iraq
2. Me getting really sick while he is gone and I won't be able to take care of my girls
3. That my kids will hate me when I'm older like I hate my mom. I know it will never happen because I'm not anything like my mom was but that fear still haunts me.

I hope none of those ever happen - and I hope your husband makes it home safely and soon.

Why do you fear the black cat? Is it all black cats in general or a specific black cat? Can you tell me more about it? I'm really interested.

2-loneliness-to be alone is also my fears because it mentally depresses me.
3-heights-its some i have never experienced but still even a thought makes me nervous.

You should try going to a really tall building or observation deck and going up with a supportive friend. I did this a couple times and conquered my fear of heights... and I'm glad I did because once up high the view is beautiful.

Childbirth isn't that bad. There are worse medical situations. I would have to say bone injuries are much worse and do not have any rewards after.
Fears:
1. Not being a part of the solution- This means I want to always make positive changed. If I make even one person smile each day, I am doing well!
2. Failure- I've been told this is ridiculous, but it motivates me.
3. World War III- Watch the news.

:: dying without my kids being there
:: something happening to my kids and there would be nothing I could do about it
:: my ex killing one of my sons in one of his fits of anger, and then Mcfd going "oops sorry we screwed up!"

Childbirth is the major factor I do agree. Creating a baby is the most beautiful of miracles that could ever happen but we are all humans and pain does constitute a major chunk of our fears. the next most major fear is losing someone you love the very most your husband, brother , Father.
