Some interesting secrets abt India.
(1). It has been found that there is a lot of natural gas & crude oil resources in Rajasthan & KG basin. May be India is waiting to use these resources once there is scarcity in other countries.
(2). A man from south india was actually worshiping two black stones which was followed by his family traditionally. One day while cleaning the stones he had a doubt & he tested the stones & found that they were actually diamonds. He gave those two diamonds to the government. The total worth of the diamonds is such that if it is sold then India would be able to refund the amount borrowed from world bank.
Is'nt it interesting.

I am from India but I have never heard of these things. Youi know I do not believe we will have a miracle one day to get rid of all our troubles but I do believe we have huge potential to become a great power if we actually work hard and get rid of red tape and pocket filling politicians. we need to vote more fairly and get good people to power. Presently we have two great minds at tyhe supreme chair, one economist and other a scientist. They have just finished one term in the office i feel they should be given three more terms in office for us to actually benefit from their ideas. They have just learned how the system gets past them, if they stay another fwew terms they will be able to defeat the system and get some work done over here. what do you say?

Well there are only two points so i cannot understand the "some" term. It seems that you are using a typical answer to such debates. Very bad.

India's debt is huge, but there are enough resources and foreign exchange in that kitty that India can repay the debt, has a good record in repayments, prepayments as a matter of fact. And what did the government give to the man in return for the diamonds?
My friend, the resources are there, but comapre the Gross Domestic products (GDP)- USA is over US$12 trillion, China ist US$2 trillion plus, India is around US$800 billion. Even by 2050 US will head in GDP, followed by China and India will be a close third as per most analysts. Yes, being the third laregst economy will indeed give India status of a financil superpower. Military, it ramais to be seen how much we spend on defence.
