Our couch is so comfy you can fall asleep on there no worries :) Both my hubby and myself fall asleep there quite regularly. If we wake up during the night we generally toddle off to bed ourselves. We find if we get woken up to go to bed we can't always fall straight back asleep. So we leave each other alone. We do however cover each other up with a light blanket in case it gets cool.

It depends on what time of the night it is.
I usually try to wake him up, but it can be difficult at times.
If not, I just let him lie there if the temperature of the house is okay.
If not, I make a big effort to get him up.
I have spent a few hours on the lounge without realising it.
The other night, he woke me up at about 2 in the moring, and told me to come to bed.
I got up, turned off the light in the fish tank, turned off the television, the light in the lounge and went to bed.
When I got there, he was asleep again.
He asked me in the morning if I went to bed straight away.
When I told him I had, he said it showed how tired he was then, to be asleep in the short time it took me to do those things.

This happens a lot to me. My husband fall asleep on the couch all the time. I always wake him up and tell him to move into the bedroom. I do this because he sleeps better in the bed than on the couch and he gets mad if I leave him out there.
I, on the other hand sleep just fine on the couch so if I fall asleep he lets me stay there.
I guess it depends on the person.
