Do you buy your pets gifts? Fill up a stocking? Buy special treats? What do you do for your special friends for the holidays?

@porwest I just assumed since you said, "They're cats. They wouldn't care less. lol" Cats love to be spoiled! Which reminds me, I forgot to check to see if my dog ate today. My hubby fed him and he never eats when that happens. Talk about a spoiled dog!

We just give our cats a stocking with some treats and a few new toys. Their favorite "Christmas present" is getting to play with all the wrappings and boxes after we open our presents. Lots of crinkly noises to make and boxes to explore and all the wonderful new SMELLS!

It's funny how they prefer something or love something that wouldn't cost us anything, right? Like the fascination with a box or bag that they can get inside and hide!

We have four cats and a rabbit and I'm sure they think its Christmas every day of the week! We always spoil them. When I went away to my parents for the Christmas holidays I left them their favourite tin of meat and some catnip which they go mad on, and for the rabbit I left her a slab of her favourite gnawing bar. We don't give them toys because they don't play with them, far too interested in their food! During the year they get tuna too!

I spoil my sweet cats all year around. But, even more so on the holidays. They get treats and toys. I spend the holidays with my husband. We only have eachother and our furry children. What about you?

I normally do but didn't get the chance this year. I was way behind on shopping due to obligations and work. I also had car problems and ended up buying a new car unexpectedly. I think most pet owners are very compassionate people!

I have an elderly dog and she gets stuff every day so no I do not do anything special for her at Christmas. When she was a puppy I did but that was for the kids sake. Now they are gone and she is old so I just let her sit with me while I open gifts and she enjoys that.

That was a nice treat! I am afraid to get the doxies a new bed here...they seem to want to tear up anything like that. I'd be ticked off if they tore up a new $30 dog bed. Thanks for responding!

Unfortunately the money was a little tight for me this year, and as a result my three felines friends didn't get as spoiled as they normally would. They did get a new laser pointer that has had them running up and down the stairs like mad, but nothing else fancy that I can speak about. I hope to buy them a cool new "house" soon, if I can make it out to a store.

Cats and lasers are so funny! We were playing with my daughter's cat with a laser on Christmas Eve.
