India, without a doubt, is a thickly populated, large and diversified country with many cultures, religions, customs and traditions. APJ Abdul Kalam is the president while Manmohan Singh is the prime minister of the country. Though it is labeled as a 'Secular' country, it is not. There are so many religion-based riots happening all the year. Muslims don't have independence to slaughter cow as it is the sacred animal for Hindus. There are religious rivalries all over the country especially in north-eastern states of Gujarat, Rajisthan and Punjab. There are violent political and religious parties like 'Har Har Mahadev', 'BJP' , 'Bajrang Dal', 'Shiv Sena', 'Vishwa Hindu Pareshand' and many others who throughout the year try to keep the flame burning between all communities especially between Hindua and Muslims, as they are the major nations within India. But we always hope that some day, this will end and a bright future will come though practically, it seems impossible.

India is a nice country,There are various religions existing in india,mainreligion is Hindu,although, there are 21 other religions being followed.There are many gods prayed like shankar, hanuman, krishna, budha,mahavir swami and many more also.the name of the indian president is prof. kalam.he is renouned scholar.The democracy in india is different than usa and is simillar to UK.the primeminister is prof. manmohansingh from the ruling party congress.The beef is considered sacred as it gives milk to us for living.the cow is considered mother and very sacred.Mahatma gandhi was the political leader of india who fought for freedom of india and got that in 1947 from britishers.He is considered father of india.

Hi jimmy , Well India is definetly a good country,we are secular that is the statre doent favour any relegion, although majjority are hindus, ya cow is a sacred animals for hindu, but beef is not banned in majority of places, there are plently of muslims are christians living here in peace n harmony, except few rare cases, which i belive happens in all the countries. So go head with ur plans , if u r planning to travel india, i assure you it will be a unforgettable experience, in all good ways

India is just another country as all others. It was great and wealthy once. Over a period it was ruled by the British, and India lost all its wealth. Gandhi was one of the freedom fighters to struggle for Independence. India is not a Great country now. But can be if the citizens think to. In present India all are selfish. Previously India was ruled by the British and now it is ruled by dirty politics. No leader in present India is really working for the country. India is surrounded by Pakistan on the Northen East.Bangladhesh and Burma or west. Arabian sea on the East.Bay of Bengal Sea on the West and Indian Ocean on the south. To the north it is protected from The Great Himalayan mountains
