Co-worker gives bad advice

My mother is dog sitting my older brother's dog, who in an earlier discussion I posted has seizures. My mother was asking her co-workers what she should do about the seizures because she didn't want to spend a lot of money on the dog. One of her co-workers actually suggested putting the dog to sleep and telling my brother it died. What a horrible woman. Who thinks like that. I mean...yeah the dog has seizures and it is sad, but who puts a otherwise healthy dog to sleep and lies to its owner. I don't need advice on the topic, but does anyone feel like offering opinions about it.
