Religous Emails

I have a problem with emails from certain friends sending prayers and blessings and then end with a challenge or curse at the end of the message. They end with statements like, "Send this to 11 other people in the next 5 minutes and you will have "good luck" in 3 days." Then there's the one that ends with, "If you don't forward this email, something terrible will happen to you in the next few days."How can they even use the word "luck" and how can they bless you and curse in the same breath? I thin it's "real wrong."

I have to second that. Someone has to have too much time on their hands to come up with this crap. I got one the today that showed a picture of a soldier in Iraq with a patch on his uniform saying "Doing the Job of.." and underneath it it showed 3 flags from different countries. The email said to email it to as much people as possible and if I didn't do it, I would have 3 years of bad luck. I erased it. LOL I have erased alot of stuff like that and haven't had too much of bad luck LMAO

Thanks for the second and sharing the experience. I pull out the eraser also...no problem. Thanks also for ignoring my own spelling of religious. I'm still looking for that "check spell" feature.

You're right, delete the messages immediately. The ones that sent you don't care about you, they just try to earn the blessings from these messages. This is selfishness, not blessing toward a real friend. They do business with their/your "luck". Silly !!

Thank you for bringing this up. I get so many email that have the threats at the end it makes me mad when I have just read something heartwarming or informative or even just cute only to come to some bs telling me to forward this message to 10 people for good fortune or bad if I don't. if there is something cute and makes me want to share it I will, but not before deleting the threat at the bottom. I think most people are smart enough to know if something is important or cute enough to share. I also think the people who type this crap should have the keyboard taken away. and no out going mail for them, every forwarded message with threats and curses that began with them or were forwarded by them should go back to them . I am talking about the 10 forwarded off of 10 forwarded off of every one ,to delete the threat or curse on every one.Oh and the computer receives the messages at all hours demanding all curses deleted within five mins you get the picture.... the next five mins or the curse will not delete and they will have to start over .......... something rude like that. Wow that was harsh. It would be nice if people just deleted the curse first before forwarding.. It makes even a nice email belong in the junk mail.

I have got e-mail like that. When I got it, I was asking my friend what this e-mail mean. He said to me just left the e-mail. He said the e-mail isn't telling the truth. So, I just left it away, without delete it. Next, I read a computer magazine the e-mail just like a spam. The FIRST message sender just want to broke the e-mail server. Then, when I received the e-mail again. I didn't care it. Just put it to trash.

I get those too & I pretty much delete them now. I think they're incredibly lame & obnoxious. I know some people will tell people specifically to stop sending them but I think that's a bit harsh. I think it's better just to ignore them.

When the stupidity of the email messages is just too big, you could answer that in reply: "Please stop sending me such dumb messages and you will be blessed. If though you send me against my will you be cursed with the curses from your emails !! And will lose a very good friend too."

I agree with you!! I thought that it was just me, but I felt that I should send them anyway because the majority of the time the message is a good one. But here lately, I have ignored what was said about the luck/curse part and just emailed them because I wanted to. I don't believe in luck or curses. Things happen for a reason.

I like the religious emails, but I don't like the way they are circulated as a chain letter. Normally I delete the ones that I already read or received before and pass to my family the ones that I like, not fot the purpose of "good luck" but to share the email.

I think they are just a way of entertainment for some people. They just pass their time by this kinda stuff. They sometimes try to make people exercise this way by struggling to quickly respond.

Ya that's true even I m getting same emails, I dont know why do people send mails like that. Why is our generation moving towards superstition, nothing is gonna happen with this chaining. Hey everyone WAKE UP we are in the cyber world!

If I really like the message, and want to forward it, I simply delete the part saying how many people to send it to for good luck, the curse if you don't, etc. All that gets forwarded at that point on is the message itself.

I throw those mail in the trash. I tell once I questioned myself can GOD really harm us? The answer is a big "NO". These mails are circulated for some other reasons. We all are GOD's child, how can the almightly harm us? Just ignore and delete those mails and forget that they even existed.

i am annoyed with such things too. i often receive these kind of stuff in text messages also. i just can't understand why some people have to include god in the crazy things that they do.

I agree with you. This is just a mischief by anonymous person. As far as we have faith in whatever we do and the confidence that the divine will not trouble his children like this there is nothing to get disturbed. More over he is the Father and cannot act like a business man to his children.Ignoring such fake mails either e.mails, sms,or any other let us ignore such that the mischief mongers will not get the full benefit.Blessing and cursing are acts only human can do and not the divine.

There are people like that. I guess it boils down to a kind of religious spirit which loves playing with religious things but is not relly godly. There are millions of people like that.
