Ok maybe I can help shed some light on your dilema, IF your going to setup an online shop you need to have an efficient and fully secure webhost, I would recommend siteground as its webservers are secured by two hardware firewalls and one software firewall, ( gotta love linux servers ) secondly, paypal is fine, but there are some flaws but that is the same just as if you was using a credit card to pay for an item. Siteground hosting offers fantastico installation files, which has a vast repository for websites, including secure payment for ecommerce shopping. for just $4.99 a month. but it's worth it. if you need any help. just gimme a holla.

I can't use paypal. As per rules of mylot, ikobo is the alternative. I dont know where to fill the details. The edit page for payment details dont give ikabo option. It ask abt paypal details only. What to do?

I will definately look into siteground, I would pay R350.00 ($44.00)here for a hosting company to set me up a eshop, compared to siteground R40.00 ($5.00) (rounding it off). Thank you I REALLY appreciate this, I have been trying for more than 3 months now, South Africa is allowed with most payments, but I CAN NOT transfer it to my bank here. To set up a merchant account here in South Africa you can only open it if you have an income of R40 000 ($5 000) a month going through your merchant account. But what they do not understand is how can you earn if you do not have a payment method, sigh! sometimes I just do not understand these banks

I find nothing wrong with Paypal, easy to use, acceptable by Ebay. That's all I can see myself using it for though. It's very safe providing you don't go and give your password to someone. ;)

I've been using paypal for over a year now and have never had a problem. I did have someone try to get into my account once and paypal alerted me to the fact immediately so that I could change my password but besides that, they have been great.
