Before starting up a new discusion in mylot, do you alway's search for that discussion topic of yours , just to make sure that such topic is not posted by someone here? if you really go for searching, if the search result gives more results, do you go through all the results just to make sure that topic hasn't appeared before? is it not time consuming? what are your views here...please share with all of us here

No I don;t because I can;t use search facility. I don;t know it because the slow connection or what. It always "This page can;t be displayed". That's why I only made 2 topic. One asking to mylot (and they reply me) and one is about using e-gold for Indonesian people. I will not add new discusion unless I think it really2 importand to many poeple

Oh...sorry to hear this and this might bedefinitely yourinternet speed problem and maybe you contact those people who have given you internet connection and they might guide you properly on why you are getting slow speed and you may also talk to hardware people to see your computer configuration and see if they can help you out in finding out reason for slowness Anyway's, thanks for responding

When I first joined mylot I guess I'm guilty of not checking if my post was similar to another one. Now, I guess I wanted to post discussions that are original or somewhat more interesting so if a topic comes on my mind I try to search first and then if nothing comes up I'll start the thread. Of course if you really want to start a fresh discussion, we have to look if there are any similar discussions, some of us here in mylot are not only going for the money but rather looking for new friends to help out. I've started discussions that don't get any responses and then again you will see a similar discussion that would have much response. Frustrating really but it's the way how it goes in mylot unless something would be done regarding this.

Yes, to tel you frankly even i was not searching in search bar of mylot just to verify whether that topic has been started by someone. But, now got to verify and then only start the topic. But, sometimes search results will give too many results and finding out our topic and then start our posting is time consuming ...isn't it? i don't know how this can be solved in the future. As you told, it happened to me also...i had started one topic long before and i didn't get any response for that and after some day's , someone else started the same topic and they got too many responses and it is really frustrating at times.... Anyway's, thanks for responding

Yeah I agree with you alienstar what help does he or she mean? Don't you think these kind of responses are a little bit way off. If he/she would be more elaborate on the response we wouldn't be asking this question about his/her post. Anyway 3 hours more it's Christmas here so I want to greet you a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Ok....let me explain you something.Mylot has come out with guidelines which say's discussions shouldnot be repeated. So, if we are starting up any new discussion, we are required to do search for our discussion topic in the search bar which appears on top left hand side of the mylot page, just to see whether our discussion is already posted by someone else or not.Just to be on mylot guidelines....got it? Anyway's, thanks for responding

duh, I didn't even see the mylot search. I just haven't posted very many discussions so that I wouldn't violate the rules. Thanks. I guess I'm still a little internet challenged.

It is not only the question of searching before you start any new discussion ....you also have to respond discussions with more than single line and not allowed to respond with single line to anyone accoding to rules of mylot and you haveresponded here with a single line... Most of them start their own discussion....but, you definitely won't knbow if anyone else has strated teh same topic an dmaybe with different wordings also and mylot has told you to keep track of other discussions of similar topics and has told you not to repeat discussions.... Anyway's, thanks for responding

Hi there, I must admit to being a very naughty person and not searching before I post!

Being naughty is fine but not searching anything before you start any new discussion is just inviting trouble as mylot is very strict as this is visible in its new guidelines isn't it? so, better not go against rules and simply ober mylot guidelines here which makes lot of sense...isn't it? Anyway's, thanks for responding

I do. Sometimes I go through a lot of posts and think about it for awhile before I post any new discussion. I am not here to try and pay my bills with Mylot. Seems some think they actually can by posting short, dumb topics. I admit a few of mine have quite dudded out. I am geeting the hang of it though and will be posting more informatively from now on. I really like responding mostly. If it's something that really gets me going, or thinking. I like a good discussion and will usually comment on other answers I like also.

Hm...interesting.It seems that posting new discussions is made little more difficult by mylot guidelines of searching before posting any new discussion isn't it? even though we don't like it. we have to obey the rules and no other way for us isn't it? sometimes i also do think a lot on these...but, can't help it Anyway's, thanks for responding

i will always try to use the 'search' button...but one problem is that sometimes, we there may be a same discussion, but different tagging or different way starting the discussion may cause duplication as well.

Yeah..using the search button itself is time consuming. But, sometimes searching also doesn't give proper results a stheer still might be similar topics with different wordings isn't it? this problem is very difficult to solve for mylot an dinteresting to see what changes they are planning to get in coming day's? Anyway's, thanks for responding

Yes, I normally search whether any discussion exist of the topic which I planning to post. If exist then I will drop, I will not post the discussion, if you post still then u r breaking the rules of mylot and you will get immediate alert on the top of the screen. But nowadays whatever topic you think, there is already a post on it, so I stopped posting more new discussion. Now Iam only giving valuable response to the discussions posted by our friends, but I keep adding friends. Instead of posting new discussiona and waiting for response count, please start responding to your friends disucssions, your discussion will automatically come the top list and the possibility of getting more response to your discussion increases.

Hm..interesting poinst you have made but i think, maybe this new rules might make many users to think twice before posting any new discussiona nd also make them more involved in other's discussion to get their earnings growing as responding looks more easier than posting new discussion isn't it? Anyway's, thanks for responding

Even if your topic is very new also, your search will show quite a number of results which you will have too see as searching will be done onsome words which you mention in search space and maybe somebosy has also posted the same topic with different wordings which is difficult also some times.... Anyway's, thanks for responding

Nop, you write the idea that come to your head. I know some people may start the same discussion that other already made, but the idea to search before start discussion is ridicillous, since there are a lot, i mean A LOT, of topic, it will tire you even before you make a discussion

Yes...we have to go for search and no other option given by mylot. It is made compulsory for evrybody heer in mylot to go for search before posting any new topic just to be sure that discussions are not repeated. But, eventhogh it's a nice thing implemented, teher are still more things which has to be corected like time consumption in searching something when the results are more...isn't it? Anyway's, thanks for responding
