Do you buy cheap shampoo

As you may already know, I am a cheap person. I am proud of my cheapness. I usually buy White Rain or Alberto Vo5 shampoo, maybe even the generic ones. it really depends on what is cheapest. I think its ridiculous to spend like $8 or $10 bucks on shampoo, as a styling product, I think other styling products deserve to be paid for at a higher price, but all shampoo really does is cleanse your hair and scalp. There is no need to spend too much on it.

I'm sorry but I'm a hairstylist and there is a difference. I use to be like that to. Why spend all that money on professional shampoo. When I went to school and used the professional stuff you could tell a big difference.
Off brand shampoos leave a build up on your hair. That makes it look dirty or not shiney. I had found out that some off brand shampoo left wax in your hair. I couldn't believe it until I became a proffesional in the hair business.
It was true. My hair is in much better shape and isn't wayed down by all the stuff in generic or off brand.
Sometimes you can get a good deal on professional shampoo and conditioner. Really it is better for your hair.

I used to be a cosmotologist and I agree that there is a difference in cheap shampoo compared to the more professional shampoos. I prefer Aveda Shampoo. I get my hair done at an Aveda salon. Their products are pricey, but I can tell a difference when I haven't used my good shampoo.

I disagree with you here. I buy salon hair products when they are on sale. Professional shampoo is much more concentrated so it lasts much longer, making it economical. It also does not build up in your hair the way commercial hair products will. This means my hair looks better, longer and I don't make as many trips to the salon. I am usually very thrifty but this is one area where I have learned not to scrimp.

I am rather cheap too. On some things. when it comes to shampoo, i buy the more expensive stuff. It makes my hair look better. I can definitely notice a difference between cheap and expensive shampoo. When it comes to myself, i am willing to spend a little more.

my favorite shampoo is nioxin which I sometimes buy at Wal-mart's Smart Style salons. It is mostly too expensive for me to buy but I watch for sales, special deals and clearances on it. At full price I just have to go without because a large bottle of just the shampoo is $34.95. I need the scalp therapy also. This shampoo does wonders for itch relief and my scalp is just so much healthier. Recently I found it buy the shampoo get the therapy (conditioner) for free and then half off of that. Still very expensive but a deal to me. It will last quite awhile. When I don't have this shampoo, I don't usually pay for any shampoo. It seems someone is giving away shampoo between sales, rebates, coupons and such. I have a large stash of some really nice shampoos and conditioners. I wouldn't dream of using cheap shampoo at the moment. Hubby still likes to use suave although I think he is now using prell. The 3 kids are getting pretty spoiled with the good stuff though so I hope we don't run out. Right now we have enough to last for a year or two if the youngest stops using shampoo a bottle at a time for bubble bath.

I'm used to buying what is on sale or what is the cheapest. I mean, growing up without a large income in a family of seven-- you try to save when you can. I can understand wanting hair to be healthy, but I think my hair is fine using cheaper shampoo. Maybe one day I'll try out some more expensive types just to see if there is a difference. I care about my hair, of course-- it's just that IT comes secondary to finances. Really, though, I'm just used to using what we have. I thought that Vo5 was the GOOD shampoo, though. I didn't realize it was cheap.
Oh! But one time I bought Garnier Fructis conditioner, or something like that. My hair was noticeably more healthy. I wouldn't be willing to buy really expensive salon type shampoo, but I don't mind trying a few different, still inexpensive, products. If I can find a nice price for this sort of item, I would be willing to try. But I, too, tend to be a cheap person, and I don't want to waste money if I don't need to.

You are a lucky person for being such a cheap one. I think you make good economies by not spending them on all expensive stuff. As you do it always exists a good alternative to any of your buyings. I am sometimes cheap too but not all times. Usually when i buy a thing i make sure i go and search from more places to see which has the good price. I think this is a good TIP for everyone. Good luck and always try to get the BEST PRICE
