Could you cope with a global blackout?

Strong solar activity can and has caused blackouts. Lets say there was a really big solar storm and there was a global blackout for about 6 weeks. That would mean no phones, no cell phones, no internet, no computers, no lights and so on. Could you cope with this with your standard of living?

ya that would prolly be a real bad thing but i think we would be able to get power back prety quick as long as everyone didnt start to panic.

This is a scary thought to me and yeah it could happen. I had the power go out where I live at four times one day.
