I'm not sure why my parents gave me the name I have, I never asked them but it's very popular name, my uncle has the same name and it seems each of my uncles is naming one of his children after one of his brothers/sisters .. so we have a few people in the family carrying the same first and last name from different generations :))

I am named Joseph. I don't have to tell you who the special person who had this name was. But actually I was born on the feast of St.Jude. But my father was not satisfied with the name and chose Joseph instead. Anyway I love that name. Even my school was St.Joseph's. When I married, my wife's younger sister was Anne. Then she married a man named Joachim. Do you know who they are. St.Mary's parents. My mother's younger sister is Mary. Altogether we are a happy holy family.

I myself was not named after any one special but my granddaughter was given my full name. If I had it to do over I would ask my son to not give her all of my names, There has been some confusion as we live in the same house. My name is pretty common (Julie) and i already have some names in mind for when we'll have children, and they are pretty common too; Samantha or Alyssa for a girl and Matteo (Matthew in italian) or Giacomo (James in italian) for a boy. Well,I guess Giacomo would be named after my husband's father, who's name is Jacome (in portuguese)

I was named by by grandma, she said I was a too small when I was born and the doctors didn't think I would make it, so she named me Faiza which in arabic means the winner.
