Do you believe in fortune-tellers?

There are different kinds of fortune-tellers around us such as astrologists, or those tellers who can forecast something about you according to your birthday, or birth time. Many people believe that they can foresee our future, our fortune. So we often find that many people go for them when they have no idea about their decisions, or have no hope for something. What do you think of it? Do you think fortune-telling does work?

If we had just one fortune teller in the world, all these expensive gadgets to predict natural disasters will be obsolete. Sri Lanka is overflowing with fortune tellers and our people go to them at the drop of a hat. But when the Tsunami came no one knew and thousands including fortune tellers just got washed away. Some of them were people visiting a sacred city to get there vehicle blessed and protected by the Gods and some were coming back after getting them blessed. After the Tsunami, one woman came forward and claimed that she was the only person in the world who predicted the Tsunami and a newspaper also gave publicity to this. After that she made many predicitions regarding politics and other matters. All of them went wrong and she went underground. But after some time our people will forget.

Wrong, She was not the only one that new it was coming. I chat and hang around in a community full of psychics and Readers. We all knew it was coming. I had visions of the Twisted Track the Queen of the Sea the Children in schools drowing. The Day after Christmas Exactly a year before is when the dreams started about this and they kept coming and coming, and I shared them with my friends in chat, they all about wanted to bop my over the head to tell me to shut up, they were so sick of my babbling about the World Wide quake and big wave... I however had no idea that what I was seeing was going to be dramatically real, and it throw me into shock for a few days seeing what I saw in my mind on the news on TV, and I am used to seeing visions of derailments and train wrecks, and natural disasters. But the Tsunami one hit with an effect that had me sick on and off for months... and I live in Wisconsin, USA Not even near your country. There was not just a single women. Many Psychics, and Spirit Workers of all sorts see things coming and discuss it. However, Most are not brave enough to go to the general public with it because of discrimination and persecution. Living as a Psychic or Spiritual person of any sort who has visions, dreams, or sees events like this before they happen is not an easy life to live. People want to tell you that you are crazy, treat you like you are making it up. Call you schizophrenic, or all kind of other nasty names... One popular sites where both psychic and non psychics post such predictions is here http://www.prophecies.us Take Care, Everyone is able to have some fortune telling ability. Most do not develop or awaken their gifts out of fear, of the gifts themselves, or they do not trust themselves to use them for the right reason. The world is changing, we who can do this work are coming out of the woodwork, and are speaking out more often. We are not Gods, We are not above people we are normal people, who just are sensitive to things that not everyone has become attuned or sensitive to. And in our types there are both Good and Bad people. They are from all religions, They are from all over the world, races, and backrounds.... Some more honest than others. Like any other human beings. Some learned to develop their abilities others like I inherited them, and then developed them more.... Everyone is different... Take Care, - DNatureofDTrain

I AM a "Fortune Teller". People make the mistake of thinking we set the future in stone for them. Not so. There are an infinite number of possibilities for any situation. We see the predominant outcomes. As soon as we do a reading for you, the future changes because you now have new information. If you are not living in a vacuum then a decision can be made by someone who is no where near the reading...not included in the reading....or they could be sitting right next to you during the reading, and their decision will have a ripple effect that changes everything. Getting a reading with a "Fortune Teller" does not remove any possibilities, it just illustrates, for the seeker, what they need to be aware of. The purpose of any reading is to help in decision making. YOu can be a victim of the general trends that lead to the future, or you can make choices to change what you hear. The proper question here is: Do You Believe in Yourself?

Exactly. Then they get mad if we did not tell them what they wanted to hear, or if we were not 100% right I do not care what any reader tells you no one is 100% right... all the time. People when the first start maybe for awhile, but anyone else who says they are all all the time is giving you a line... Well Take care - DNatureofDTrain

SageMother. I'd be interested in what you'd have to say if you did a reading of me. Both my tarot and my astrological readings have been pretty... interesting to say the least. Not to mention my premonitions...

They are as real or false as they choose to be. There is honesty and dishonesty in every occupation including fortune-telling. - DNatureofDTrain

They might be able to tell you alot but they get their information and power from Satan!
• Janesville, Wisconsin

pffffft. I don't my "power" from Satan. I work with Spirit universal aka G-d. That is where I got my power and abilities from. Trial and error, and Good strong faith, and lots of practice, and hard discipline. As far as Satan Goes well... Satan does not help Satan lies, and gives bad advice and tries to destract us who do readings with nonsensical information. That is when we close the doors show them and other lower entities off recleanse the place, and try again, or direct the individual into better ways of seeking answers. - Rev. Dana C. L. Most fortune tellers are scam, I would never go to them or pay them money but it's true that some can tell true things sometimes, there is some unexplained things/gifts with some people .. but even if someone can tells me my future I don't want to know.. what good it will bring to know in advance, if it bad you will be sad and worried long before it happens instead of enjoying the good time, if it's good, I always expect the good to come anyway without a fortune teller to tell me so :)

There is a such thing as people who can tell the future, but psychics that only tell your fortunate future is unlikely.

People need to remember sometimes the Reader and the Spirits that come through maybe right or wrong. Othertimes the future has not been set in stone yet, as in other ways it already has. Your life is what you make it based on your choices. I do read, and I have the ability to look where I would be if I made different choices or circumstances, having a reading to see if you like the direction you are heading in is, good. But becoming dependant on the readers and believing what comes through is set in stone going to happen for sure is not the best thing to do. Our futures can change with a single thought, a single action, or the thoughts and actions of those around us. I read well through visions and dreams. Usually what I recieve is specifically warnings to help others suceed in the life they want to or to save lives. In preventing train wrecks and derailments, just by giving the person that single detail in an unrpeventable collision that saves their life. What I do is not easy, and it was not choosen by me to do so. Foture Telling is like Story telling the future. Some of the Story has been written other story lines are being written and rewritten as we speak and live. I believe fortune telling only become a danger if a person become dependant on readers, and does not use their own art of problem solving and descision making. - DNatureofDTrain

Past can be predicted correctly a large extent. As far as future is concerned ,only 50 % prediction can be correct. There is a saying that future is in our hands don't rely on fortune tellers.

yes it works but only if you go to a genuine one.But I know you can not make out genuianity for the astrologers. But for cheaters only you can not deny astrology. It is a great gift for us if a fortune teller is genuine. I know this thing are now a way to earn business.but for this you can not say astrology is wrong. ASTROLOGY IS TRUE.

I don't believe in it, it is impossible for them to know our future and only God has the ability to know it, no one can determine our future except us, if we want to have a better future, lets work hard and make a better life, even the fortune tellers said that you'll going to be rich but you are a person who is 100% lazy, I dont think you will succeed in the future.
