around 30~40 wpm. I start typing from about 10 years old. It was on the type machine rather than keyboard. It's harder than keyboard.

Me too I started typing in typewriter when I was about 8 years old but I never learned the proper placement of fingers in the keyboard until now.

Mine would be around 50 wpm. But i don't feel that these days you need speed to use the computer as most of the functions can be done through mouse or mostly you don't need to type on the net. But if you work on the computers offline and need to be dependent on it, you should know typing. The best way to go about it would be to try some typing tutors available online.

am looking for a good decent free online typing test that not only measures your typing speed and accuracy, but also tells which charactors you tend to fall over on and how often you have fallen over on that charactor, and gives exercises to concentrate on the area of the keyboard that charactor is located in.
Either Online or free to Download will do.
I have a Typing speed of 30 or so, but i am interested in increasing this speed to 40-50.

I think mine is at least 30-40 words per minute. Enough for an average computer user.

I guess I have a typing speed of 30-40 words per minute. Not too fast and too slow. Just right.
