Do you think you are better than anyone else? If so, why?

I also do think I am better than anyone else in such categories. I also have that attitude of not letting anyone become better than me in some point or I am trying my best to became better than someone else in a category that he is really good with. I do think it is good for a person to do this for the purpose of self improvement.

hi,when ever you start thinking that you are better than others ..the down fall starts in your life...no body is perfect in any subject,activity......when we feel like this our growth will be stopped..

To quote a movie "I'm not better then anybody else, but I'll be darned if I'm not just as good." I have met people through the years that have made me wonder about things, intelligence, common sense etc with them but I'm sure some have thought that way about me as well. Just how human nature is I suppose.

i beleive im great but i just cant say that im greater than anyone... cz there will be ppl better than me... i have a great travel n geographical iq im a great artist... i can drive a car,bike,truck,helicopter....;) but still i cant say im better than every one.... and i just wont let any1 say that there etter than me without a chellenge....

No I do not think I am better than anyone else because we are all created equal in the eyes of God plus there is a place for everyone in this world. While someone might have a high IQ, it doesn't necessarily mean that they are intelligent or can do everything. What it means is that they have theorotical knowledge of a lot of things, which they might not necessarily be able to put this information into practice. An example for you to ponder. Imagine you are the Manager of a large corporation which makes millions of dollars, employs thousands of people and sign the wages cheques every fortnight, but that doesn't necessarily make you better than the person who cleans the toilet and floors. Why, if the toilet and floor are not cleaned then they will be dirty, unhygenic and start to smell, so people will start to look for other jobs where the conditions are better. So who is more important? Of course neither of them because they both have their position in the company and if they both do their job there will be no problems. The person who signs the cheques might not necessarily care for his environment, town, workers etc. and the same can be said for the person who cleans the toilet and floor. However, possibly both of them take pride in their work, care for their fellow man and help those less fortunate. This makes them equal, which what they have in material things, their position or status, how much money they have does not. The value of a person is what they do for and give to others.

No I do not think I am better then anyone even when I was working as an Area Manager I did not think it I had 40 Staff working for me and like they respected me I respected them I started at the Bottom and worked my Way up and I had a great team when I worked they worked with me and not against me

i am not better than others in some aspects and i am better than others in some aspects. nobody can be the best human u know..

if anyone truly belive that he/she is better than anyone else,i'd say that she/her must be a over-confident person.But then,they may not learn to improve themslf in future as they alwasy in cloud nine..Too far from the ground and always underestimate everybody as they thought they r the best of the best!!..i'm not better than anyone else,cos i have more to learn from other people.

Sorry I can't say whether I am better than anyone or not.But I can say that no one is born better and there must be some facts where you are weaker than those who are weaker than you in their many facts..

Fantastic question, and your explanations are right on the money. For all the talk of equality in the world, a) we know it just isn't so, and b)all of living in western culture don't want it so, because--HEY! most of the world can't afford a sixpack of Coke! Me, I try my best to not be judgmental, and to believe that we are all equal. But, I do feel better about myself than say, Nazi's, fascists, racists, serial killers, rapists, child molesters, etc... But then again, I'm judging aren't I? Not very Christian or Buddhist of me (the strongest influences on my spiritual belief). And sometimes I find myself feeling superior to people who obviously don't take the time to read or do their homework on things, and yet feel they have to be strongly outspoken about something, and highly antagonistic against other points of view. Fact is, that really angers me. Awesome Post. Thanks for that. A good thing about this post, is that if someone were to really take the time to think about it, they may actually learn something of themselves and become better for it.

I for one thing don't think I am better then the next person. In fact, I always thought my neighbors are better then me.

I dont think i need to compete with anyone else. I know I am good and dont bother to know whether i am better. Life is not a race, in which you nee dto surpass everyone, or you'll spend it in just running and worrying whether anyone is going to overtake you or not. Life is a canvas and you are a painter. Just draw it as you like it.

I do not think I am better than anyone. I think I am the same as any person on their earth. No one knows what goes on in the mind of the divine. No one knows the value and purpose of each individual person, much less the value of people collectively. We are a part of something greater, but each individual part of this greater thing counts. It takes all types of people to make this world go around.

Its not right to think yourself better than others . All human are made up od flesh and blood. So anyone thinking like that is a foolish person. I think if iam beeter than a person in some field that person is better than me in any other area. So god gave every one some qualities so its not worth saying that iam the best. Cheers, Tutul
