I was suffering from Rhabdamyosarcoma.I was 14 at that time.Doctors told me that i will die in 3 months. But i was not ready to give up.I stood rock solid.I fought with it for two years. At last i won.It was my will power that helped me in defeating cancer.U just require strong will that helps to control the pain of chemotherapy and radiotherapy. If u have that, then cancer is curable. What do u people think about this?

you are correct to a large extent!
i think without our will power, no medication is going to help us. but to think that will power can create miracles all the time is a little unreasonable.
first of all, there are some cancers that are indeed curable. that is where a person's will power comes into play.
some cancers are entirely incurable. no type of medication, surgery, or anythig else can cure them. no amount of willpwer will also help there!
but those cancers which are curable, need any combination of chemotherapy and radiothrapy, surgery etc. for treatment and all of these have a lot of side effects. it is these side effects wich can be very very uncomfortable. if a person has the will power to go through all this pain and suffering, he might be finally benefitted from the effects of this treatment. and so, it is the person with the will power to get well who can actually defeat cancer if it is possible at all!

I think will power and strength are very important... and a positive attitude is essential. My dd is 16 and had a cancerous tumor removed in November. She's still having problems, and we just went to another specialists this morning, but her attitude is great and she is not willing to let this thing get her.

I agree with you.there are alot of people succeed in defeating cancer and they finally win.eventhough not always but however as a human we have to fight for our life and dont just gave up just because we are medically judge will die soon, cause however God is the only one who has the right to control our life.doctor can only predict but its not always true if its regarding life.
i hope ur story will bring lots of spirits for those who suffer cancer:)

I agree - willpower is not all that is needed to defeat cancer. It is great when someone's positive attitude helps them overcome something as traumatic as cancer, but there are a lot of people with positive attitudes that are not able to recover.

i think will power and the power of the mind are soo strong but alot of people and even myself have not fully understood how to grasp and use it..i once saw on tv a man who was left totally paralysed, a vegetable, left only with the strength of his mind he managed to walk again by the end of the year..it was absolutely unbelieveable and incredable

I totally agree. I believe that will power is actually one of , if not, the most powerful force on earth. maybe not so much, people willing things to happen. but as far asyourself and your body. if you truely believe, or at least can convince yourself that you'vve got a great immune sysem, you're less apt to catch colds. if you belive yourself to have high metabalism you stay fit. If you realize it's been a while since you got a cold sore and you fear that you're probably due... ...get ready to have a cold sore. to use this to your advantage, I recommend not dwelling on e bad or negative things. Keep your mind focussed on possitive things.

I agree that cancer is curable as I have also fought cancer 7 years ago and have recovered from it. I had an 8 hour op with 8 weeks in hospital, then 6 weeks chemo and radio therapy.
The cancer went but they never tell you about all the after effects of all the treatments they give you do they? I have had so far, another 4 ops with another one due next year and still then, will need further treatments. Sometimes I wonder if the chemo and radio therapy was worth having?
You are very lucky if you have fully recovered so that you can go back to the life which you had before the cancer came.
