War between countries, is it really necessary? Who is to blame?

Philippines

So many causalties and innocent victims die during these wars. Who do we blame? Do we blame the leaders of their countries? Do we blame the innocent victims? Do we blame the people in their country? Who should take responsibility for the losses, moral, economic, emotional and physical damages that these wars bring? In the end, who is to blame?

Wars are made by people, like other bad things on this world. Wars aren't necessary. Wars are made by the people from the higher level ( Politicians ). By starting a war they have a target like robbering it out, destroying it,....Simple people like you and I, can't do nothing against it. We have got nothing to do with wars so you / I / we shouldn't have at least a bad conscience :)

Do you then conclude that by saying that wars are made by the people from the higher level ( Politicians ), are these people to be blamed for the wars? Didn't we elect these people?

Sometimes war is necessary. Sometimes war brings peace. When a country gets attacked they have to defend themselves doesn't matter if they have to go to war. Sitting with their hands on hands won't save them. If the country can defeat the invading force then the invading force will learn a lesson and in future they won't attack the country again and thus peace will prevail in that country. But there are some countries which keeps on trying and to solve the problem for one final time they should be nuked.

I respect you opinion. But I could not say that I can accept most of it. Its really hard to think how war can bring peace. You also said in your last sentence "they should be nuked" well that would definitely give them peace..rest in peace I think. Lol!

Politics and Religion, thats what it all boils down to. Whether it be between countries or right in the same country, between your own people. That seems to be the root of wars. Another is the self riteous people of the world. It seems like the motto is: it's either MY way or NO way.

yep. i agree with you. if people only tried to give way to other people once in a while, wars wouldn't break out at all.

You forgot to include power and money. Most people hunger more for power and money I think and religion is almost secondary to these. Thank you for your response and have a nice day!

we have no right to blame others for such casualities from wars it is we people who had make the wars. every country is dying to get the most powerful weapon inspite of knowing the environment conditions.... so we people have to do some thing for avoiding such wars

So for you, the people are to blame right? Actually you are the first responder to believe and have expressed this idea. I hope the others who have similar ideas would try to explain why the people are to blame for these wars. Thank you for your response and ideas.

In this day and age, you can blame the leaders in U.S. government, they want to make the rest of the world our third class citizens. We have been using the CIA for a long time to undermine legitimate leaders of other countries simply because we don't like their political views or think they would do something to stop us from keeping the status quo in their region of influence, especial in Latin America. Why tried to have Hugo Chavez overthrown from office. Only to have the people of Venezuela come to his aid. Hugo Chavez has shared the oil wealth of the nation with it's poor people, the regime that was there before did not like this, so they went crying to the U.S. to help them overthrow an elected president that is actually helping it's people. Who in the U.S. cared that other regime was corrupt and they kept all the oil money to themselves! But because they basically did as Washington dictated they were the one WE THE U.S. needed to keep in power; democracy in Venezuela be damned! Nice going for good ol' Bush(wack). Now you wonder why Hugo Chavez hates Bush(wacked) so much? You have been educated. Now you can stop wondering.

Thanks for sharing that with us. So you actually mean that the leaders are to be blamed like President Bush of the US. Well I do think that to some extent you have a point here because they are very influential and can command their military to strike at any country any time they want.

War is in no way necessary, but it has been a fact of existence since the beginning of time. It's too bad people don't learn from other's mistakes!

I think no general citizen ants war..but because the way the government and politics show the facts and figures and agruements to their citizens about the other country,It creates a bad impression of that country on the people of the other country. It creates a hatred feeling in the general masses and causes war. So I solely blames it on the Government of the two sides..

When you say that we need to blame politicians and religion, does it mean that we also blame the people that believe in this religion?

instead of thinking hard on who to blame, why dont we start thinking who to help, who to love, how we can be of service to other people? dont you think this is a better way to spend our time and energies with?

It is always a debate on who started it. It's like asking which one was first, the chicken or the egg. Are the people to be blamed or the leader?

I don't believe that war is nessacery, it comes down to the leaders wanting power, it's a shame that humans are the only mammels who love to hurt each other for fun. We as people can stand up to the leaders and protest it. First step in ending the nonsense of wars.

Yes I do believe that we can express ourselves in our opinions on these things. This is one way of doing it by placing discussions like this. who do we blame for these wars? Do we blame the leader or the people and religion.
