Final Fantasy 8 is probably my least favorite of the series. I felt it sacrificed plot for graphics. Instead of the in depth, complex characters and storyline Final Fantasy is known for, FF8 slapped together some generic characters recycled from previous games and a weak storyline and played 'Lookit what we can do with CGI! Look! Look how pretty!'. All the game creators spent their interviews talking about how beautiful it was, and the attention to graphic detail, but had nothing to say about the story or characters. Because there was nothing worth saying. It was a beautiful game, but as a Final Fantasy game, it fell flat. But with a game where the lead character is modeled after *Gackt*, what else can be expected?

Final Fantasy 8 has great graphics and a good storyline, but not any deeper than 7. But I still prefer 8 among other ff series. The limit breaks are darn good! Ahaha... I also love the songs in this series: Eyes on Me and First Love. I think it's more of a love story as compared to the other FF series...

I really didn't like FF8. I much rather enjoyed FF7 and FF9. For some reason I was just never into 8 and never got past about 30 minutes of playing it.

Yes FF8 has a good storyline and game play but for me, the best FF storyline until now is FF7 because one of your main characters gets killed and you can't use her anymore for the rest of the game. I haven't played FF12 yet since I'm waiting for a few months to let the price roll down a little. I can't afford the hefty $50 tag.

Just a challenge. Try beating Omega Weapon in 3 turns. The methods are very easy, thinkable, and make sense. No cheating, no Hero Drinks, no invincibility, no Selphie's The End. 3 turns, and that's all it takes, just a bit of luck, but only a bit. Rest is up to how you set up your characters and what you do.

its an awesome game to play! great storyline interesting characters and great graphics.

I loved the game! That game was very interesting to play and I love the videos especially when squall had to rescue rinoa and they hugged each other. The ending movie i didnt seem to get, i was like did squall die or something? It confused me lol.

FF8 was awesome!!!! I think that even though x was good of all the FF games 8 was the most deserving of a sequal.

Final Fantasy 8 is a best seller! I loved its story line. The graphics when it was released was truly a feast for the eyes. The GF Junction system really is cool and will be an FF Legacy for all time. =) I adored Rinoa!

oh yes! i've played this game a lot of times...=) the storyline is great and romantic and the graphics are really good.=) especially the FMVs..=) the combat system isn't hard to use so there's no problem about it...=)

FFVIII is my least favorite FF. It has the worst character development, the worst protagonist, and the worst plot.

Final Fantasy 8 has a rich graphics but the story is not that good. I prefer Final Fantasy 9 than Final Fantasy 8.

Yes, I agree with you. FF8 is a very good game. When I finished it, I feel that I don't wanna play any game anymore, cause I think that day there's no game that match with it:). The game was full of action, tremendous story and a lot of romantic scene too. The character also so cool.

Final Fantasy VIII was a great game. I just got bored with it about the time I got to Ultimecia. It's one that I plan on going back to to beat again and see how I react to it this time. I had better luck with some of the other final fantasies as the story line didn't drag as long. Best thing about FFVIII I think was the card game. That version of it was a blast.

Final Fantasy 8 was my first FF game :P Because of it i got addicted to the series XD

A very good storyline great characters enemies not to mention omega weapon is the best sub boss of all final fantasy series!!!! it also have a great ending!

Final fantasy eight is an ok game, it isn't as good as ix or x, but it is good. good story, characters and i really like the gf system. one thing i didn't like as much was the draw system..
