Brain Lara or Sachin Who is best cricketer ? why?

Although I am an Indian but still I rate Lara ahead of Sachin. Only one reason:SACHIN HAS FAILED IN IMPORTANT MATCHES WHEREAS LARA HAS HELD THE FORT WHENEVER THE TEAM IS IN TROUBLE. U see the stats.They say for themselves. There may be a couple of matches where sachin has played in crisis but they were an exception.

Hi I like Brian Lara more than Sachin. He is a great player and his performance always leads his team to success he had great records in test and having good average in one days. While sachin is not a match winner his centuries did not worked well for India

both of them are great.both of them proves their class.i think lara is bit better than tendulkar.even in recent days lara is carrying his team with his bat ,but i cant remember tendulkar doing same thing for his team

Sachin is in the category of the all rounder while lara can only be considered batsman only.But, as a batsman, laras calibre is superior to sachin.he has comeout of his bad form number of times in his carrer but sachin, perhaps is still strugling to get back into the form after no. of injuries.lara has remained captain of the team for a longer period than sachin and that way also, he is superior to sachin.

Sachin Tendulkar is a good all rounder unlike Lara...Sachin is a good one day player...Lara is a good test match player...Sachin is cool...Lara is tempered..Sachin has variety of strokes for every delivery....Lara has fixed set of stroke play..Overall Sachin is better than Lara..

both of them are great players.but there are distigushing facts about both of them .yes sachin is an all-rounder and he can take some good wickets whcih helps india in crucial times.sachin made higehest centuries in both the test and in one-days.as a indain i regard sachin as the best player.and one more interesting point is my birthday matches with sachin tendulkar birthday date.and the fact i know anout lara is that i don;t much about him.but he is regarded as the best batsmen in the world recectly glenn mcgracth too agreed about this point.sachin had won many one days and test for india.he is the only youngest player to enter into the cricket world.there is a lot about sachin to telll.he is very friendly with the teamates and never diappoints any of his fans all around the world.

hi! inspite of being an Indian, i'd vote for Lara. i believe Sachin is a more copybook batsman who's scared to take risk more and more. But Lara being a temperemental batsman, seldom plays consistently. but on the day Lara plays well, he has no equal, not even Sachin. I like Lara for his adverturisms!

lara is best in test matches while sachin is best in hitting hundred in oneday.

I think Sachin is the best because he bats superbly as well as bowl too. He is an gr8 allrounder when his team in trouble he played marvellous sometimes and sometimes with the bowl also.. If we compare Lara and Sachin i think Sachin is the best his overall performance is awesome..

hi all...though the west indian team became a better one nly after lara's entry he cant be called as better than sachin..as u wud hve seen in most of the test matches lara doesnt play to win..he plays for his personal records...but tats not the case with sachin...sachin has many times been a match winner for india(like the one at 2003 world cup league match against pakistan)...n more than that if he feels he cant give out his best he just leaves the place for the next player to do the job...also he has a credit of over 100 wickets some of which were came at a crucial moments n not to mention tat he has always been a good fielder....so obviously sachin stands ahead to be better not nly than lara but than any other player....

My opinion is Brain Lara is a good Test match player than Sachin. Sachin Tendulkar is a great player in one day cricket. But Sachin Tendulkar is a all rounder.Sachin gets some good wickets it helps some time turn the match and india won the match. So I think sachin is little bit best than Lara while we consider the over all performance of Test match and one day match. so undoubtly sachin is the best.

i think both player has his own quality and style and both player are match winner so its very difficult to say who is the best.. but i think sachin is littlebit better then Lara..

Of Course.. Sachin Tendulkar, There has been a question of Who is the best all the time.. when sachin is in poor form and brian lara in great.. and vice versa.. There is an exception that lara can play long innings.. but it cant be as good as a sachin's 50, This is just because the range of strokes he has and the way he play his natural game..

Both are class players and are perfect in their own respective fields..I think Sachin is a great player for ODI as we can see it while we search in record books and Lara is ahead of Tendulkar in the Tests..I think Lara has more stamina and class while considering the test form of the cricket.But now a days the basic need of the teams is of all-rounder players..So i think in this matter Sachin takes the tropy from Lara and gets much ahead of him.. So lastly I think Sachin is the best cricketer the world has ever witnessed..

Definately , Sachin has a nice record as a batsman & fielder. He is now bowler also. He looks allrounder and it is good for team like India. If you check the record and performance of Lara he has already proved himself in his long cricket career that he is exceptionally good by age criteria. He is a dynamic person and you can watch him playing and making team winner becasue of his own talent and leadership quality. One can hope for west indies because there is Lara in the team. Sachin has to prove himself like Lara . He has got his age to prove. Let us see.

Shane Warne the most succesful bowler had nightmares due to Sachin in late 90s Murlidharan is not effective against him... and there are many more example which proves Sachin's supremecy.... he can instill terror in the opposite camp.... so sachin is the best.........

Sachin for One days and Lara for Tests.......

in my opinion sachin is the best than lara as sachin is the greatest player of all time ..he is having more than 14000 runs to his credit in one day internationals and more than 10000 runs in test cricket ...with many world records in number of hundreds in one day and test ... he is obviously my favorite bats man ........

sachin is the best in odi and lara is the best in test cricket.
