Take Time to Breathe!

Breathing is one thing that I often remind people to do when they get edgy or stressed out. Closing your eyes and taking a deep breath through your nose and slowly releasing it through your mouth can ease tension.
Although I offer this tactic to people as a way to calm themselves, I do not do it often enough for myself.
As I sit and think of the tasks I have to complete this day, I try follow through with this technique. Sometimes it takes more than once to get the full effect. How much better I feel after doing this.
Remember....when you are overwhelmed, troubled, or stressed....Breathe.

Since I have learnt how to breathe properly it has really been useful in calming me down when I feel stressed. Also, when I had my children I started suffering with panic attacks. I learnt how to breathe from my stomach and it would take the panic away. Most people only breathe from the top half of their lungs instead of expanding their lungs fully. It is such a relaxant. I have been teaching the kids I work with to sometimes take time out and breathe to relax.
Also, have you heard of Rescue Remedy a Bach flower, when you feel really stressed this is fantastic!!

You can actually watch people and see them hold their breath. I tell them that they need to breathe. Then I show them how. LOL

I have tried this. It does work, if you allow yourself to do it. I also found that a walk, and prayer helps me very much too.

breathing is really very good excersise.breathing palys a main role in yoga.it is called pranayama.prnayama is nothing but, having ddep breath in one side of your nose and leaving it on another side.like wise,if we do it for 6 to 10 times each day, really we can realise a change in our health.we will be more healthy, feel energetic, brisk, etc.,

We actually have oxygen bars here locally, where you can go and take in oxygen. You can also take in 'scents' with the oxygen, to help you relax, etc. Breathing is a huge thing for your body. Think about it, your brain survives on oxygen so it's a huge part of all of your functions!

This is scintifically proven technique and ancient vedas have given much importance to slow and deep breathing keeping all your concentration on your breathings.try to empty your mind slowly from all thoughts and try to float in the sky imagining that your total body weight is zero and you are able to float in the sky.Iam, myself a yoga/pranayam teacher and have cured many cases of depression and tension through this simple deep breathing technique.

I don't know if I could imagine myself floating. Breathing is the best I can do.
