For me i'm in the process of quiting with smoking. I'm doing very good so far i have been smoke free for almost a week now. My oldest son had asked to me quite and so i thought about it for a long time and then one day i ended up really sick with swallen glans and had to go to the doctor's where i asked her if i could have help to quite and that was the day that i started to change my life. I was able to get medication to help me quite and i hope that once i'm off from the medication that i won't pick up the habbit again.
What about you what do you want to acomplish befor the end of 2007?

2006 has been a very hard year for me. My husband and I have separated and I finally put myself into counseling because I have suffered with depression for many years and extremely low self esteem. I am working on making positive changes in my life so that I can love myself and love my life and be a better mother to my children! One thing I have always struggled with since I was a child is my weight, so 2007 is going to be a new beginning for me. Since I am already in the process of learning to love myself, I am going to work as hard as I can to learn to control my eating so that I can lose weight and love myself on the outside as well as the inside! It's going to be a hard struggle for me but I have lots of motivation!

By the sounds of it you also have a lot of friends that will help you out. If you have a job then get work really hard with the job and it will slow down with the eating. As well take the kids for lots of walks (i've been throw all of this already) Let the kids ride bikes and you do the walking. It will really help out. When i left the father of my boys 3 years ago all i did was take them for walks. When i wasn't home i didn't want to eat but i fed the kids. I lost 50 pounds in 2 months. So it really helped. Be careful with what you drink as well. I had to stop drinking the soda and only water. Good luck with the change in your life. I hope that all works out for you and maybe you could mend your fences with the ex and everyone can atleast be a little happy.

I do almost the same thing that you do. Go home and then go to bed after work but i'm on of the few lucky ones. I get to cook and eat dinner with my family. I work from like 7am to 4 pm or some times i go in a little later then that. Like tomorrow it's 8:30am. I still get to have dinner with my family. On saturdays that's a different thing. i work 7-4 and then when i get home i go bowling at 6 and then come home at 10 and go to bed.

Helping each other is always a very good thing. I always help other when i can. A friend of mine had a baby and she just started working. Well i decided that it was ok to buy and outfit for the baby seeing how it was the day after christmas that he was born and she spent all of the rest of her money on her 1 year old son. I thought that it would help her out a little bit. So there are good people out there in the world. We just need to find them.

First of all, best of luck in your attempts to quit smoking. I stopped cold turkey 7 years ago and have not regretted it for a second since. Buy yourself lots of tic-tacs and life savers as a means to fend of that craving for taste! I used to also make a habit of brushing my teeth regularly to keep my mouth tasting fresh and clean.
As a result of that, I've put on a lot of weight that I despreately want to get rid of. That's my goal for this year. I'm going to see my Doctor in January and am going to take the neccessary steps to live a healthier life.

I havn't had a smoke in over a week now and it's going pretty good. thanks for the advice. Every time that i get the erge to have one i just look at my kids and tell myself that it's not worth the time it take to light one up. My children need me more then that and they deserve more then me smoking.

Hey well done with quitting smoking - that's definitely one of my goals for 2007. I have lots of resolutions for 2007, some big and some fairly trivial. Smoking is obviously one of the important ones as is sorting out my financial situation. 2006 was generally a really bad year for me and I'm determined to make sure 2007 will be one of the best years ever.

I wish you all of the luck with the weight loss if you need anyhelp with it then just ask me. I've been there and i know how to lose it...Start with no soda. Drink none flavor water. It helps trust me and do a lot of walking. Walk every where you go no matter how far it is. That the best way to lose the weight.
