Sending Pathan back home was a right decision

Decision taken by selectors and Team management of indian cricket team to sent Irfan Pathan back home was a right decision taken at right time. Irfan Pathan needs to regain his lost confidence ahead of World Cup since he is a key member of indian cricket team. By playing the domestic cricket he can rediscover his forgotten craft. He has to concentrate more on his bowling. I think this is a clear message to other indian player as well who are not performing to their potential. What do you say guys!

yeah I think it was a right decision taken by the selection committee. The rule which they are following now that is onw who will play better will be in the team..So I think it should be followed with everyone..not just Laxman and Gangully. Also if we see the past few innings of Pathan it was never attractive or never we can say that he is in form.it ecocnomy rate is over 6.03 which is very expensive in any form of cricket.. So I think the decision was perfect and he should play domestic cricket to bring back his confidence and form..

Ya its right decision, actually they did it late.If management sent back players who are not in form earlier in ranji, its best policy show form and well come back again.

i agree with you. it is correct decision in right time. he lost his rithum. if he played in ranjees he will get his rithum again and he will recover from it within the world cup.

Yes this was a right decision. Its good that they ve made sure no one can take his place for granted. Even Zaheer Khan was out of the squad. All good signals showing up ahead of the World Cup.

Well This is not good decision because its lost Pathan's confidance. If they want to drop him from test team than why should they seleted as 14 mens team. Also if everybody knows that he is not in good touch than why should not get back from first test. Also many players are also not performing well and still in the team. Is it politics? Sehwag continu his bad form here but there is no warning on him because he big player who make good batting in 50 to 60 innings. Second one is Wasim jaffar. He is struggling but no change despite of good form of Goutam Ghambhir. He is from Mumbai and west zone. Our selector also from westzone and BCCI cheif is also from same zone. This maight be favour in Pathan. I not agree with this decision.

i might affect his morale. but it was a right decision as it will give lot of match practice in domestic cricket to get ready for WC07.

Yes, that's a very good decision by the team management of indian team. They should have also sent back Virender Sehwag back also, so that he could play domestic games and gain some form and get back to international level, because its always the junior players who are getting axe rather than senior players like Sehwag and Sachin, etc. Sehwag should also be sent home.

Yeah i think its a good decision. Players are kept in the team for their form and performance and pathan was not doing fine in bowling. h can regain his form by palying domestic cricket. I think the question to be asked now is why sehwag and jaffer still there?

Irfan Pathan i believe he is batting better than Shewag. The only thing which he has to improve is bowling. I dont think it's a wise decision asking him to play Domestic cricket instead of that they could have asked bowling legends like Akram or Donald to train indian bowlers. Just by playing domestic cricket you can not learn things or gain form by playing 2 domestic matches in India he can do the same by practicing in nets.

i feel the decision to send Pathan back has been delayed. immediately after the West Indies tour, he should have been told firmly to get back into the scheme of things by playing domestic cricket. i also feel other players like Sehwag should be told the same. we cannot afford to retain him in this form for the World Cup.

see pls give up this discussing or dealing with selection committe, i cant understand their selection basis and procedures, see our indian team will struggle hard if BCCI not indulge in withdrawing kiranmore...,and our coach see it is full of politics indulge with this so if ur a student or a employee please give up this it is upto me u just watcht the live shows and enjoy and felicitate if inida wins.according t me it is not a selection commite im very anxiety with selctors. see my opinion is India should win allways like aussies, but here we have the team of players who r out of form, when u go wit h pakistan team they will be having the players who are well form, senior or captain no matter we should be like that.

yup that is absolutely true i am a big fan of pathan myself but i think that he is low in confidence so it was a good thing that he was sent back take the case of zaheer khan he was sent back too i mean he wasnt allowed to play in the team and now he is doing very good i believe

ya i think it is correct decision because he is really not taking any wickets and giving away a lot of runs India right now cannot afford to have a very expensive bowler in the side who cannot take wickets regularly and anyways the other guys are doing quite well so i think its the correct decision

I think he already low in confidence, sitting idle in pavilion will not help him,But by playing in the domestic cricket he can regain his confidence. Moreover pathan was himself involved in the decision. I am sure he will be back.
