Disgusting Instances in the Kitchen

Well lets hear of something disgusting that you've seen/heard about happening in a kitchen (could be a restaurant or any kitchen at all). I know I've heard of a lot of things that has actually tempted me to stop eating at restaurants altogether! One instance I know of, is when my sister was a cook at a restaurant, she told me that the dishwasher also mixed the salad and he would put his dirty hands in the lettuce without washing them first! Imagine that?? How gross his hands would be from handling dirty dishes...AHH! Bon Appetite lol!

I have a friend that went to a restraunt and ordered a steak well done and when it came out it was rare so she sent it back and it back and it was welldone, she only ate about half the steak and took the rest home. In the middle of the night she became so sick, throwing up and everything. her husband took her to the ER, the told her she had some type of food poisoning and asked what she ate, her husband told the doctor and also said he had half of her steak at home so the doctor asked him to go home and bring it in so they could test it. Here the steak was covered in human urine! Yup the cook was pissed that she sent her steak back that he urinated over it before sending it back out. She is going through a lawsuit now with that restraunt.

I used to work with a young man who said he worked for a big name bakery of packaged bread and he told me that when the workers got mad at the bosses for any reason they used to spit in the bread dough!!! Yuk.

So far I haven't heard anything about the resturants that I've eaten in about their kitchen. So, I don't have any for ya.

Nothing personally reported to me about kitchens in restaraunts BUT I have had instances of bugs in my friends food while at a popular eatery. Ewww...she had a giant green worm in her salad. I don't know how the kitchen help did not see this thing. It was as big around as my lil finger! Ecchhh...

An eye opening view and comment.I was thinking that here in usa, lot of importance is given to cleanliness in all the hotels and restaurants.but, even then, if such incident is seen by an insider,we all have no alternative but to pray to god almighty to keep us all healthy.Only he can help us in these circumstances.

when i was a kid my friend worked at a resteraunt and he used to spit in the food and some man did something very nasty in the mashed potatoes. Well I called the owner and told them what they were doing.....but i think this happens everywhere.

This is a disgusting one. 30 years ago, I was working in a country club as a waitress. I slipped on something on the floor in the kitchen, while holding a plate of fries and steak. So, it fell on the floor. I was picking it up to dump, when the owner screamed at me to put it on another plate and bring it out to the customer from the floor.
