thats WAY too much!!! agreed that you spend time and effort to clean your pearly whites but going beyond 2 minutes is certainly not advised for all it does is take off the protective depositions/layer onn your teeth. two minutes has been proven to be successful and what maaters is HOW you brush your teeth and not how LONG.

I take 4 minutes to brush my teeth. I have a blue hour glass for my kids that tells them how long to brush. i have gotten in the habit of using it when i brush my teeth now. It shows my kids that even adults need to brush well.

I do the two minutes atleast. It is bad for the teeth if you keep brushing them for a long time. The amount of toothpaste too must be a pea size only because you are just wasting your money by putting a lot of toothpaste on your toothbrush because the teeth will only accept the right amount of flouride it needs.

I take 3 minutes to brush my teeth. The said time is distributed as follows:
1. Half a minute to brush the face of the left sided teeth.
2. Half a minute to brush the face of the right sided teeth.
3. Half a minute to brush the back of the left sided teeth.
4. Half a minute to brush the back of the right sided teeth.
5. Half a minute to brush the face of the central teeth.
&
6. Half a minute to brush the back of the central teeth.

I take about 10 minutes everyday twice a day. It makes me feel so much better after I'm done. Its like a fresh start to my day.

In 8 minutes my hand would fall off! I have never really timed it, I use a battery operated toothbrush and brush around my mouth 3 times, not sure how long this takes. I have been told 2 minutes is healthy, less and your teeth do not get clean. More than 2 minutes and you begin damage to your gums, 8 minutes may be to long for healthy gums.
