I lost my sister, a couple of days ago. I loved her and can't get over losing her. Have any of you been in a similar situation? What do you do to get over this depression ?

You can love a person only when your feelings are reciprocated.....your sister also must have been very fond of you....now think, do you feel she would have been happy to see you being unhappy.....cherish all her memories, always remember her, wish her well wherever she is....slowly, with passage of time you will find that you can accept the situation and her loss without the depression.See, your life has to go on.....and her memories must go on with you.

I am really sorry to hear aout your loss. My uncle was killed in an accident a few years ago. Initially, after the trauma you think that your life has ended. People do say that it will get easier with ime. This is true in a certain sense in that you will find the ability to continue on with life but you will never forget your loss. You must remember that this is an awful time to suffer a bereavement as the day are short and the weather is depressing. If you have a good family unit and a good circle of friends then let them help you as they will be able to empathise with your situation. Counselling can also can be a good idea. This person will not know you and you can say anything to them. Hope this is of asistance to you.
