Many men use this way to punish his kid and warn them not to do something bad, does it work? What's your way in this case?

Yes, i have hit my girls when they were small, after they did something which was wrong. Here, each time his would happen I always made sure that they understand why they were hit.Once the child appreciates why you corrected her, she will never intentionally make the mistake again. Also, if by chance I was ever wrong to have hit them at all then I always made sure that I apologised, and told them why I made that mistake. The child is like fresh clay in your hands, they will get moulded as you want them to.Teach them good habits and attitude today, so that you both have a happy life ahead.

Hitting them came more as a relex action, rather than the intention to hit and discipline them.

I would absolutely never beat my kids in any way. Beating your child is abuse and should not be tolerated in my opinion. I am not a parent but I believe there are other ways to punish a child for wrongdoing than hitting them. Taking something away from them like watching tv, listening to music, talking on the phone with friends or something like that would be better.

My husband never beat children nor I do. If they do some thing wrong we explain the children about the wrongness and tell them not to repeat it. You should correct children with love and affection.
