Make sure you stay on top of that. Asthma can be life threating if it is not watched closely. Every year doctors are coming up with new medications that will help children and adults live better lives with their asthma. I have asthma and I think that my two daughters will also. But I will have to deal with that if it ever comes. I recommend you that you ask you doctor to keep you updated on all the new treatments and solutions that come out for asthma. Visit www.webmd.com, www.about-athma.com, and www.affa.org. Those websites helped me alot. I have had asthma for 20 years now and hopefully your daughter will grow out of it.

That is great. I wish that it was that easy for me. I have had asthma all my life. I am 20 now and still get attcks or flare up 3-4 times a week. I am going to try this new asthma pill that you take every day that will help with my flare ups and attacks. Exercise made my asthma worse for the first couple years, but now I play sports. Well I hope that you keep doing good with your asthma.

That is very good. That means that you are keeping it under control. I have an attack about 4 times a week. I use a Abuteral Inhaler and that helps. I want to try the pills though. I heard that it will help me alot because it wil lessen my daily attacks. You should visit www.webmd.com. That website was very helpful. And good luck with your asthms.

I was diagnosed with athsma when I was 5 years old. I had attacks every once in a while but by the time I was 20 I outgrew it and now I don't have it any more. At least I don;t think I do. If I do, I certainly don't have any problems from it any more.

No, I don't specifically have asthma. But, my younger sister does. She is totally cured (as far as I can see) of this condition and she is quite normal now. Although, I don't think you can totally rid yourself of this condition; I think your breathing still stays effected; although if you keep on exercising internally and also externally; it could be possible to get free of it. There are a few methods that work and hopefully you can try some and see which works for you. By the way, anybody know how many people in the world have this condition (asthma)? Oh well, good luck with all your quests to rid yourself and make your life a lot more comfortable.

I agree with you. I have had astma all my life. I am just starting to keep it maintained now and I'm 21. I will also look in to how many people around the world have asthma for you and get back to you. I hope your sister is rid of it. Thank you for your response.

I had acute asthma (kept me from going out and doing what I wanted to do) when I was a small girl but I have for the most part grown out of it and lead a normal life with an occasional flare-up that makes it difficult to breathe. I keep an inhaler just for those cases.

I am so sorry to hear that. It will all get better with time. It always does. I have had asthma for 20 years, and it is getting a little better with time. Just keep believing that it will. If you can, do some research on asthma. That is what my mother used to do when she was still living and now my two younger brothers don't have it.

Yes i do, for about 6 years now.. Pretty well controlled using inhaler prescribed by doctor although occasional attack (though not serious) when weather change (my trigger).. also have cats at home.. (surprising not my trigger)... mother-in-law recommended Chinese herbal medicine with pigeon soup but can't swallow the concoction.. (she made it once for me)...
Good luck with controlling your asthma.
God Bless :)

yes i do. But i have never had a major attack that needed a hospital or anything like that. I usually get attacks when i know my inhaler is running low or i forget to bring it out.
