Grissom Leaving CSI

How does everyone else feel about this? Grissom will be leaving the show for awhile, not sure how long. William Peterson wants to get back to stage acting. I just know it won't be the same and I'm not sure I'm going to like it. If you want more info on it I'm sure a quick Google search will bring up some articles.

Grissom makes the show. I mean if he was to leave I don't think people would watch it. I really hopes he reconsiders that stage acting just wont feel the same.

He did stage acting before CSI and has always said it's his true love. Perhaps he was getting burnt out which can happen.

I do wish William Peterson the best of luck in all he does. I don't blame him. Everyone at some point in their lives need a change and have to move on. He will be dearly missed on the show. Who knows how the show will survive without him, time will tell. That would be good if he did show up here or there and do guest appearances, I'm sure everyone will love that and more than likely I'm sure they may have to do that due to their ratings. If I was William Peterson, I would do take time off with his family and yes, live his passion for him. Life is to short to be stressed and miserable and he's one of the lucky ones that just can up and do that. I'm surprised he stayed this long though, because I think there was talk over 2 seasons ago of him leaving due to his hearing in real life. Just not on the show. That's what I heard, don't really know if it's a fact. I will continue to watch the next few shows to figure out if it's worth watching anymore. I certainly hope so. This one is my favorite out of the 3, but I'm worried with Grissom gone. Warrick was bad enough.

I didn't know this. :( I don't think that the show will be the same without him. I didn't like it when it looked like he was going to be replaced before. And I don't care for CSI Miami. The NY version comes on the same time one of my husband's shows does. I guess I'll be saying goodbye to CSI.

I like Grissom, I just don't like him with Sara. I'm glad he is leaving, but hope for only a few weeks.

Grissom said he would be gone four weeks and yes I will miss him, but looking forward to seeing how the other people work during his absence. I think the time will pass quickly, as one of the weeks Sara is going to receive something from Grissom. This is a great show and the crimes that they have been solving are interesting. I'm certainly going to continue watching this show during his absence and feel the show isn't just Grissom.

I think that Grissom makes the show. I do like some of the other characters but Grissom is the best leader. I did not like it a couple of years ago when they split the team up either. I heard that Grissom wanted some time off because he was over stressed and needed a break.

Grissom is my favorite so I don't think the show will hold the same appeal for me. I doubt that the public will be as receptive to the show after he is gone. It might boost the ratings of one of the other CSIs such as New York. That one is my second favorite.
