The London Eye

The London Eye - I would describe it as a giant ferriswheel, but it goes around very very slowly.

Have you seen the London Eye? If you have, did you take a ride? How did you feel? In my case I have seen it from afar and just took a pic as I was too scared to get a ride, knowing it would take a long time to be able to get off and I might get sick while on top.

I don't think there is an age restriction. Just make sure your kids have no fear of heights like me. Have a good time!

Me and my family have been on it. Its a real must! It takes 30 minutes to do the full circle. The views are spectacular. It amazed me that as you travel round you get a different perspective of the nearby buildings. Also, although I have not done it, a night trip is meant to be really good too. It has also become the centre piece of Londons New Year celebrations, with thousands of fireworks being released from it, It must be the worlds largest catherine wheel. But if you get the chance to go on it, please dont miss it.

Take no notice of the person that said it will make you feel sick. It is the most popular tourist attraction in London at the moment. It does move VERY slowly & the view is fantastic, so make sure you pick a good day & have film plus batteries in your camera. The kids will love it.

I haven't been to London but it sure does look nice from the picture. But maybe I will try less scary rides when I get there. I am afraid of heights.

The London Eye is absolutely fantasic and definitely worth going on ! My friend was visiting from Turkey and I took her on it, and we had a great time. You get to see all the views of London and it is really breath taking. The ride itself - is very slow, and the 'eyes' are so large that you barely feel that you are moving at all. There's no chance of you feeling sick :) Promise :) (my friend has motion sickness and she was fine)
