I have inheritted my mom's Mediterranean complexion - including the dark circles under the eyes. The older I get (and more kids I have...LOL) the worse they are getting. There are so many different products but which actually works? How long before you see results? What works best for concealing them? Thanks.
Additional Details
I appreciate everyone who says sleep. I'm sure that for 9 out of 10 people that's all it is. I don't have occasional dark shadows under my eyes. I have permanent dark pigmentation under my eyes as is common with people of mediterranean descent. I do get 6-8 hours sleep and I do drink plenty of water and I do eat very healthy. I do not party or smoke or drink. Thank you to all though.

I have them too. I am trying a line by oil of olay that works well. You might want to use something with vitamin k as it helps. Topically or otherwise. Try getting alot of sleep as less sleep makes them more prominent. I use a great concealer by Sue Devitt. She is this makeup artist out of Australia. I did alot of net searching for the best concealer for dark eye circles because I was having problems with my current brand. Good luck! I hope you find something that will work for you.

4 dark circles:
Use OLIVE OIL...jus dip ur ring finger n massage on ur dar circles in a circular movement.u'll see amazing result in 4 weeks.be patient n do try it
do this excercise for 3-5 mins daily.
1) lie on bed aand tilt ur head backwards off the bed.
2)do it twice once in morning and once at night.
3)this will increase blood circulation to ur face and will help lighten ur dar circles.

the best natural medicine for this dark circle is to do the SURYA NAMASKAR IN THE early morning. Just grasp the rays of SUN in the early morning around 6.30 am to 7.30 a.m. consume fully the rays in your eyes. and also take more green vegetables. Just in 20 days the black cirle will fly off

I have a similar problem. There are a couple of products that you can use. I use a product by Benefit, they are usually in Macy's, it's called a "mini fake-it kit" which have fun names like "ooh-la-lift" you put that on the bottom first and let dry for a few minutes. Then there is "lemon-aide" that you put on your eyelids and that immediately makes them lighter. Once the bottom dries a bit, put the "lemon-aide" over it (it mixes) and then there is a brown concealer to put over which helps it blend. The kit isn't too expensive, let me know if you tried it or what not.

I have a similar problem but the dark circles and puffiness under my eyes are only that bad when I lack sleep. I recently bought an eye cream from New Zealand which I apply in the evening before bed time and it seems to help, even with lines (crow's feet). Also I make sure I wash and clean my whole face before I go to sleep. Perhaps you can also try a whitening cream but you will need to be careful in applying it because it might get into your eyes.

I think drinking lot of water helps. Good sleeping habbits abd eting habbits will defiantely remove it a bit.
I think its hereditary also. I have seen people having dark circles whoose mom or dad also having dark circles.
I think taking too much tension ar fatigue also causes it.
happy ang jolly people have less dark circles in their eyes.
Cheers,
Tutul

When you are out and about looking for the eye cream that you will use, flip it over and find out which natural ingredients are in the product. If you can not tell, you’ll want to look for those products that have a lot of vitamins especially your vitamin E’s.

I have the same problem and have been trying to find something that works for years. I am very fair skined so the dark circles looked absolutly horrible. I have tried everything I could get my hands on and nothing really worked. Until about 6 months ago I found a skincare line called Wei East. I use 2 products called Youth Recapture and Eyes Alive. They cost me $30 for the two and last me about 2 months. But the best part is after the first 30 days I had about 50% decrease in the dark circles under my eyes. It is the only thing I have ever found that works. Good luck to you in your quest.

I got rid of my with Arbonne's anti aging (NutriMinC) eye cream. I am not kidding. It worked and is patent pending which means it does what it says. Here is my link and Arbonnes.

Its all nature to get those dark marks even when you do not involve in activities that cause them. you can go for massaging specially oil massage. try applying curd on that area below your eyes. try applying juices of tomato and carrot and other fruits which im not sure. do not roam in hot sun and dont work hard in the nights. sleep very well and eat healthy diet which consists of fruits mostly. stop drinking and smoking if you do it.

If you are sleeping well and drinking water and eating healthy, you should just accept the dark circles as part of yourself. I don't mean to sound negative, but there are some things where we sometimes give more importance than we should.
I used to feel bad about being short until I accepted that.

Yesterday I saw on TV that a slice of raw potato helps with dark circles. I have heard about cucumber but this a new one for me. It can't hurt so I am going to try it. Good Luck.

I used to laugh at this until a friend of mine said she did try it and it worked. I thought it was a joke so I did used a very litte bit under mu puffy and darkened eyelids and after about 20 minutes the color was faded and so was the puffiness. It lasted for most of the day! Who discovered this?

concealer sticks work good for hiding them but people reccomend to leave cucumbers on your eyes for a while and this should help. i can't say it does really work as ive never had this problem before but you could try it and see how it goes, good luck anyway.

hey listen since its heriditary ther is sadly very little things that you can do..other than cucumber peels and proper sleep i can advise a creams which lightens the color within a month..but use it only after consulting a doctor cos u may become blind if you put it in your eyes..its chemical name id..hydroquinone ask any chemist.bust be sure to ask your doc first cos its used to lighten dark skin originally not for dark circles.take care
