I have a boyfriend and he is a great guy but one thing i dont like is his breath is rather foul smelling, so that i find the odour from his mouth sickening whenever our faces come close together. He is not used to be like that before. I dont have the courage to tell him about it and i dont want also to end up the relationship just because of that. It's very discouraging but i still love him but of course nobody would like talking or even like a smack to someone who had bad breath. Please let me know what should i do?

Awesome and good for you two. This is such a sweet story.
I hope that he gets cleared up soon and that you took the initiative to get him looked at before this turned into a serious problem.
Nice!

I agree with this one too. If you really are too shy to tell him.
Also another way maybe when you're with him you can cuddle him and tell him how you love kissing each other. But you noticed lately that he is having a bad breath. Tell him that he had no problem like this before. It was so perfect until this last few days.
Or maybe you can ask him to go to the dentist together too. Tell him that you are starting to notice your breath and you are not comfortable being with him as you are always conscious with your breath.

He probley has some form of dental problem which is causing the bad breath. I would suggest him going to the dentist and getting that checked out. OR I guess you could walk around with a bottle of mouth wash and give him a sip every few minutes..j/k

nop he dont have dental problem but i guess your right i will suggest him to go with me in a dentist. I think its not a bad idea if i tell him i would like the dentist to check my teeth and also him too, without knowing him and without offending him. Dont you think?

Its called halitosis and its actually a symptom of several different medical conditions. Its something you cannot brush away. Talk to him and urge him to see his doctor.

Is he living a highly stressed lifestyle. The is also a bacterium (Helicobacter pylori) linked to ulcers and stomach cancer that causes bad breath. He might just need to get a series of antibiotics and the bad breath might go away!

aside from those medical treatment they offered for... try to have your boyfriend drink peppermint tea always or let him chew the leaves once in a while.

dear, u are not the only one to suffer with such kind of problem. dont think that u dont have the courage to tell him that he smells bad. u should tell him this thing with no hesitation. after all u share a close relation. its all about feelings and not courage. ask him to use mint. if he smokes that he must use mint or some other mouth freshnes. i always do that.

it is better if you can get enough courage to tell him straight. you don't have to tell him in a bad hurting way. try to give him breath freshening gums all the time. or atleast, buy him a mouthwash, toothpaste and toothbrush set. tell him that you've got it on sale (in one pack) in the mall. and that you bought two. one for you and one for him. make him swear that he'll use it all the time or else, you'll get upset because it's just like he does not give importance to what you have given him. atleast, try to do this in a very sweet not too obvious way.

Ok! You are a couple and you have to share everything no matter what. So, you have to discuss the matter with him. Tell him that he never used to be like that before. Maybe he hasn;t realised it and he will do something about it once you will talk him about it. Of course he maybe has problems with his stomach. ADVICE him to go to a doctor.

It must be horrible to smel his breath everyday. When you want this relationship to be succesfull. You have to tell him about it. This is a problem which can be helped out off the world. Mayby there is something wrong with his teeth and can a visit to the dentist be enough.

Bad breathes generally happens due to improper brushing of teeth, or if smokes and has a mint immediately after a smoke to avoid smoke odour.
Better suggest him to brush twice, all these things u can openly discussion nothing wrong in feeling bad. These has to be told politely not in an uncomforatble manner, tell him in a manner that he really understands.

it's really tough to tell someone they have a bad breath. but i guess u just have to confront him. like try offering a mint gum or mouth wash. or maybe advise him to have a different diet. he could also go visit the dentist. he may get offended at first..but he'll get over it. besides, it's for his own good anyway.
