What are 3 Must-See Movies to Watch from 2006?

I am getting ready to rent 3 movies this weekend to watch and I wanted to find the best 3 movies of 2006 to watch before the year ended.
What three movies do you recommend as the best three of 2006? I like all movie genres, with drama being my favorite and comedy a second favorite. Thanks in advance!!

I agree with Akela and the Bee, also CARS, and RV is also really funny. RV stars Robin Williams in a "Chevy Chase" kind of role. It is really a great movie. Even if you aren't into animation, CARS, is a must see. It is great.

I would say my top 3 movies of this year are:
"Children of Men"
"Babel"
and "Science of Sleep"
However, since those haven't come out on DVD yet, I recommend the following for rental to end 2006:
"Little Miss Sunshine"
"Thank you for Smoking"
"An Inconvenient Truth"
-The first two are comedies and the last one is just a really important movie to see. If you don't like watching Al Gore speak of global warming to end your year (although you should really see it sometime soon), I would recommend "Dave Chapelle's Block Party" or "A Scanner Darkly." Both movies are excellent!

These are great recommendations and I appreciate them! I have not heard of "Silence of Sleep" but now I'm really curious about it. I have heard from a few people that the Al Gore film should be seen sometime so that is going to be added to my list. I really like getting these type of opinions because they are more realistic than reading the public reviews

I saw Clerks 1 and liked it but had forgotten that there was a Clerks 2 out-adding that to my list. I love Harry Potter and RV is worth a rental too now-thanks

That is a tough question... Three must see-movies from 2006 huh? Well how about "The Departed", "Akeelah and The Bee", and "Letters from Iwo Jima". Those are just a few of them... make sure to see Pirates 2 as well, since the third one comes out this summer!

They all sound like good ones! I've heard about Akeelah and the Bee and that is one on the list. I also think that the others sound great too!
