Video Game Addictions and Wreckless Behavior

Have you ever been addicted to a video game? What was the video game and at what point did you discover that you were addicted? I read an article today where the game "EverQuest" was to blame for a 21 year old committing suicide and for a father becoming so addicted to the game that he neglected his own kid. What do you think? Can video games actually drive us to this kind of behavior? Have you ever played "EverQuest"? What's the game all about?

Yeah, it happens to my kids. they are addicted to video games. No more other activity! Vidio Games only.

I've never been that addicted to a game and that story is scary. I think people who get too wrapped up may need some outside help. I have been hooked on Tetris on occasion

I dont play everquest , but i think video game has its good and bad influence , it is depend on how you see the the game itself . You also can't say that game is bad because a lot of people is addicting to it yea , for example the past counter strike , if you look it in a bad way , that is it promotes violence , if you look it in a good way , it promotes teamwork and communication between people yea

I guess I did have an addiction to Mario. That has been years ago. Sure do miss him. As he was on the original game. I have not found any of the others I like near as well.

I was actually addicted to quite a few games, and generally still am, but I have a girlfriend, so I play them less often =(. I actually really miss them. I was addicted to Final Fantasy X, and I learnt this after I somehow beat the game on the 2nd day of owning it.

I try not to get into that, except when my husband asks me to play one with him. But, I don't play it alone because I am afraid of getting addicted.

Ya its a very bad habit to addict. So many of my youger friends are also addict for vedio game. They even lie for that.

No I am not addicted to video games,I just dont have time for them.I know there are a lot of kids out there that are,there was a lot of money spent last year on video games alone.
