Cannibalism in today's world?

Its really horrific As predators, I think the only reason why human beings don't eat each other more often is that we don't want anybody else to eat us

I'm not surprised. There was some story last year about a man who ate someone he met over the internet, and supposedly he had the person's permission! Personally i wouldn't want to.

it may be true that human meat does contain more protiens but i think that we can gain also protiens and other minerals to some variety of sources which make it more palatable compared to taking it only on just one source like human meat may be. besides there is still the feeling of or the 'yuck' factor when eating human flesh. greetings. : )

I think it's possible for animals to change their ways, evolution, juts like change, is constant. However, one thing that separates animals from humans is our ability to tell right from wrong and our ability to control ourselves. Humans are an intelligent race and I think humans resorting to eating other humans is not possible because we can always think of some other solution if food becomes so scarce.

Its really shocking to hear such a thing but everyone wants to live so we can't blame those animals for getting their food. Global warming is becoming a serious issue for every single person around the world. These toxic gases produced by big factories and mills and harmful gases produced from our cars and bikes are really doing serious harm to the environment big time. Obviously is those animals are not getting their natural food they will turn cannibalistic as you said but i hope that such a situation doesn't arise for the humans and i don't think it will happen as the humans are the most superior and have better minds and means to deal with such situations. But having said that i seriously hope that each and everyone of us make an effort towards helping environment get better by planting more trees and using environment friendly machines and vehicles.

I'm pretty against it. If I was put into the situation where i needed to eat somebody I would though.

Wow. I don´t know where to start. Cannibalism has a lot of problems,prions for instance. The problem with prions would increase exponentially if humans resorted to cannibalism. But at least for a few years I think it is just a concern.

an animal will only turn to canibalism if its natural food sourse is unavaliable. Some human beings having psychopathy or indeed a psychotic episode may well turn to canibalism, i work with 5 of them in the prison i work in and they are strange people indeed. I can not imagine what state anyone must be in to turn to canibalism, however each to their own

what u read is sure to happen if these effects are not stopped..maybe we can even turn to cannibals what separates us from others is our ability to think but we are bound to lose track of it when food becomes scarce as well as our habitat i dont think planting trees will help...its where to plant these so that the balance of environment is not tilted.. it cannot be a single effort of one nation or country..it has to be one collective effort of one earth so as to prevent its further loss

it is rather scary to learn that, but i can understand why. Polar bears may become extinct due to global warming.

All I know is that I would never even dream of eating another human being, no matter how desperate I was. That is just horrible.

dear buddy... do u belong to any religion...? if yes then believe in that whateva brought to u by ur forefathers got benefits and unnatural activities got no benefits but newer viruses and diseases. I didn't find any one doing that any body belongs to any religion doing dat... and i put religion in the discussion just because religion is a guideline for society having rules and regulations to survive... so don't go unreasonable :) cheers ... thanks
